Bought this for my niece who has recently discovered the joy of telling the same joke seventeen times in a row, usually at breakfast. The jokes are all fairly harmless, which is a relief. Nothing too cheeky or baffling, just a steady stream of puns, knock knock setups and groaners that adults can smile through while secretly reaching for the teapot and contemplating an early wine. It is nicely put together, colourful and sturdy enough to survive being flung across the room during a sugar rush. The print is large and clear, so even the newer readers will not be left squinting or turning the book upside down trying to figure out the punchline. She now considers herself the family’s resident comedian, which is both endearing and slightly exhausting. One star off only because some of the jokes are repeated in slightly different wording, and a few are just plain odd. Still, if you are looking to encourage giggles and keep the little ones entertained without resorting to a screen, this is a solid choice. Just be ready to hear the same chicken cross the road story until you start sympathising with the chicken.

Very good, short jokes. Text is a good size for easier reading. My son is 7 & doesn't enjoy reading, but he does enjoy laughing (!) so I bought this joke book to encourage him & he does pick it up & read a few jokes every now & then - much better progress than with other books I've tried to get him to read!!

Alright, I mean it has some good jokes however not ideal if your trying to teach your 7 year old about grammar as there are many mistakes in here but I say to my child that another child wrote them and their learning too which she then understands

Gave this to my 6 year old granddaughter for Christmas. Wasn’t sure if this was a good pick but she enjoyed reading aloud for everyone for a good joke. The smile said it all when we laughed at the jokes. It was a definite hit.

It has words missing , Sentence’s don’t read properly my granddaughter is 7 and she doesn’t like it

It’s now a tradition to buy one of these every Christmas for my grandson. He’s always telling jokes.

My son reads this book and cracks up. He laughs the entire time reading it. It's perfect for kids under 10 as my 9 year old thinks the jokes are funny as well!
