A must of game designers.
Sackson's writing style is drier here than it is in "A Gamut of Games" but the information is fantastic. In fact, this book helped me crack a four-year old design problem I was having with one of my prototypes. Even after his death, Sackson is still the king of games!

A definitive work by the Master of Games!
This is a terrific compendium of card games from all around the world, as seen through the eyes of the Dean of American Game Designers, Sid Sackson. This book also contains a few original games by Sackson, including the wonderful Card Stock Market game, which was later sold in boxed form as Black Monday. This inexpensive volume would be worth its price if only for that!

Gives you ideas for variations of card games
The games weren't as unique as I was hoping, but it sure gave a variety of options of games. Many of them seem a bit redundant, though.

Great Family Fun!
This is the perfect little book for family trips. Small, light weight, about the size of a Reader's Digest. The format, instruction, and illustrations are great. I appreciate the Level of Difficulty label for each game. It makes selecting a game easier. For those who works nights, this book provides lots of entertainment in the wee hours of the morning on our nights off.
