Treasury of Flower Designs for Artists, Embroiderers and Craftsmen (Dover Pictorial Archive) Paperback – February 1, 1981

This is a great book for artists to look through for ideas and to get a great opportunity to use a specific flower to use to complete a design using flowers what I like is the simplicity of the flower because it is done in line drawings rather than adding a bunch of other things to have to sort through for the eye to see the actual flower. If there were anything I would add, maybe a photo of the actual flower in order to see one possible color but it may be too difficult due to the fact that nowadays, flowers have so many hybrids it’s difficult to pick just one.

I liked the drawings which were easy to duplicate for arts and crafts. Also, they do not have copyrights so you are allowed to use up to10 freely and without written permission..

Very nice graphics, but with nothing I'd consider exceptional. If you're looking to get a sense of certain flowers? This can help, but you're likely to get a better feel for the plants by looking online.

Good resource for creators, I also here bought a step by step line drawing book as a companion to this one. I like the shading and detail of flowers I intend to master

This is a very nice book, done in a coloring-book type of style, but wonderful for artists who would like to have a basic element of flower design and vignettes. It would be helpful for many artistic forms, from tattoo applications to painted art, to tile making or screen printing.If you would like flower designs, and want a pretty, flowing, cohesive look to your organic elements, this book would be a great addition to your collection. I know I will refer to it many times in the future, along with my collection of flower photographs and magazine clippings of gardens for color reference.

The media could not be loaded. Interesting designs for framing photos or maybe journal entries. Very much like charactertures. Not especially meant as stand alone images.

I was happy with the book. It was sent quickly, now I just have to work designs with the flowers for a project. Most of the flowers show a flower head on, and often a side view. The way Susan Graber displayed the flowers is a bit different, they are often for a stylized (art nouveau--ish)layout, but can be easily be changed by making the stems straight or slightly bent to make them appear in a more natural setting. However they are very pretty as they are.
