Green Picasso Base Waxed Amaryllis Flower Bulb with Stand, No Water Needed

This was a gift for a dear friend and another city. She called me immediately and absolutely loved it.

That a five blossom flower sprang up from this ball of wax is a miracle! Full bloom in two weeks and has stayed beautiful for two more and still going strong. Its the best zero maintenance plant ever.

The amaryllis never got buds and flowers… very disappointed …. Replacements should be sent to me

The vase is exactly as it appears, which is very pretty. My flowers are coming up and it’s exciting to watch. As advertised, no water is needed!

The plant arrived on time and looked correct when opened. The disappointment is that there were no directions with it, and I needed directions in order to send it out as a gift to a friend. Also, it didn't say to take out of the box right away. I left it in the box for 5-6 days while looking for directions to send with it, and while it was in the box, it continued to grown, but didn't have light so the leaves were bent and yellowed. I can't give it now as a gift. Maybe it will look ok in a week, but if it had directions in the first place, and warned NOT to leave it in the box AT ALL once it arrived, it would have been helpful. So, yes, go ahead and buy it, but know to take it out of the box right away, and make sure you find directions on the internet so you have a successful plant. (I got something else for my friend, and I hope this one will open OK for my own home so I haven't completely wasted my money.) I have had waxed bulbs in the past given to me as gifts (came with a card of directions) and I liked them. Different company.
