On The Edge: A Novel of Spiritual Warfare Paperback – Illustrated, January 25, 1999

One of the best books I’ve ever read. Took me awhile to really get into it but once I did I couldn’t put it down. I actually cried real tears reading it. Very powerful and thought provoking. I wish everyone on earth could read it.

A wonderful book that really makes you think about how you hope to liveyour life. A hard book to put down!

Story was engaging, characters were easy to love. Summary compared it to Frank Peretti but I did not find it equal. I also believe that some of the theology was right on but some was not. For instance, the story repeatedly talks about man's immortal soul but 1 Timothy 6:16 states that only God is immortal. The issue regarding hell was focused on the parable of Lazarus and the rich man that Jesus told, based on Greek myths that His hearers were familiar with and with a lesson that had nothing to do with hell, and ignored the many Bible references that actually speak of God's fire. HellTruth.com is a good source for a comprehensive study of this subject both in the Bible and in the history of its fabrication and adoption by the Catholic church. And there are several other doctrinal errors. Just like the Left Behind series, this story can touch your heart as long as you study your own Bible and understand where fact and fiction part ways. All in all its a good story. Just remember, God is all powerful. But even more so, He is complete love. Happy reading!

A must read for Christian men

The Sullivans are a typical American family whose lives unravel in the absence of a biblical/Christian foundation void of any prayer life--leading to horrific implications. Fortunately, there is Hope for the Sullivans once they recognize their need for God's grace and redemption, the power of prayer, and make subsequent decisions by following the Holy Spirit's promptings. The reality of spiritual warfare (Ephesians 6:12; 2 Corinthians 4:18) is dramatically illustrated by Parker Hudson in the parallel stories of this family. The story is intense - with some adult material so recommend for mature teens or older, but captures the reader and is tough to put down. I found it highly motivating to pray pray PRAY!!!

I just finished On the Edge. Wow, where do I start! I liked the first part of the book which was dark and suspenseful. Then the rest of the book shows how so many lives affect so many people for good or for bad. This book makes you want to be the good. Its a hard book to put down. Life lessons and God's answer to our trials and blunders are all in there. The ending was perfect. You won't be disappointed. I'm still sitting here processing the whole book. It will make you think about your life and what kind of relationship you have with God. And this books will make you crave for more of God! Don't miss this blessing! Read it!!!

I was fortunate enough to meet the author, F.Parker Hudson while at the Atlanta Airport. We ended up giving him a ride home from airport. He gave me a copy of this book. After reading this book, I was on my hands and knees, asking Jesus into my heart. This book was well-written, page turner book that gave a realistic approach to show how and why God is so important.like I said, this book is what brought me to my hands and knees, alone in my living room, crying and begging Jesus to enter my heart and in my life. I did the sinner's prayer without even knowing how. This was back in 1995. I was living in sin with an abusive boyfriend in Georgia at the time. Within the next couple of weeks I had my car packed, in August, without a/c and with my cat and litter box, where I drove home to San Diego, CA (my parents home). I had to drive over 2000 miles. With all the areas I could have broken down, I ended up breaking down near San Antonio, TX, where my recent x's aunt and uncle lived. I knew no one else in Texas so I called them for help. Not only did they get my car fixed, but they took me on the best camping trip I ever had.Think about it; God has His protecting hand on me. Out of all those miles, He made sure there was a safe place for me to break-down. God used this book to save me. Thank you, F. Parker Hudson! I pray the Lord keeps using your books to help bring other lost souls to Our most loving Lord.

I would recommend this book to all I know believers an unbelievers. A honest way Satan and demon to pray on people to keep them from the truth of God's word and promises for a more comfortable life. 2 separate stories,same family 1w/o God and 1w/God first and foremost in your life. A much needed read.
