JLab Play Gaming Earbuds

I just love these headphones. Although most do not headphones with cords on them, I like the security of not dropping an earbud and loosing it. These are teathered together. Not very heavy so easy on the neck. The controls functions are quick and easy to use even when wearing gloves. Easy to pause, play, volume up/down, anser/end calls and track forward/reverse. I absolutely love the ability to mute the microphone as I can often have a lot of background noise at work. Sound quality is pretty good considering the size. I first purchased these back in March of 2024, the battery would last me my full 8 hour shift of playing music or talking on phone. A year later however, they are starting to run dead on me about an hour or two before end of shift. A co-worker was looking for a decent pair of headphones a couple weeks ago and I recommended these. He bought them the next day. This sparked me to order another pair for myself. I highly recommend these to anyone. Pros: 1. Teathered together so more difficult to loose one. 2. Easy to use controls. 3. Microphone muting. 4. Light weight. 5. Sound quality. Cons: 1. Slight delay in audio from non-constant audio souces like directions from Google Maps. 2. Rubber pads occasionally falling off if you knock them against something, but this is typically of ALL in ear headphones if you are not careful.

These earbuds are a lifesaver for someone like me with hard-to-fit ears. The soft neckband keeps them secure and comfortable all day, and the sound quality is excellent for both calls and music. I use them daily for tech work and love the handy mute switch and long battery life. They pair easily via Bluetooth and even come with a cable for gaming. After two years of heavy use, my first pair stopped charging—but they held up well, and I immediately bought another. Great value for the price!

I use these primarily to listen to pandora or voice chat while on my phone. I love the little mute button on the wire - super handy and I use it all the time! Sound quality incoming and outgoing seem to both be great, though I do have trouble hearing one of my friends when I call him on his phone. I cannot for the life of me figure out what the issue is but it only happens with these earbuds and his phone.

09/12/23 - Tuesday I used for my work meetings today. Below is what I experienced: * Overall MIC and sound is ok. I have not received any complaint nor have I felt any static noise. * Volume is still way too low. I go up to 100% and then I can hear. No parameters can be changed in Windows, MS Teams or anywhere to fix that. With same settings other Bluetooth works just fine and volume is great even at 50%. This model need amplifications for sure. * Wire from neck to ear is way too thing. I am afraid it's going to break soon if it is tangled up with something. * Magnet on each ear piece is too weak, easily disconnects * Distance is not too great bared go to 40 feet and it disconnects. 09/11/23 - Monday - Initial Feedback I just received my pair yesterday. Tried out first time with Windows 11 / MS Teams and it seems volume is too low. I'll continue to and check if there are any settings that needs to be tweaked; but, other Bluetooth headsets I have used never required any tweaking and it worked perfectly fine. I will write another review after few more days of use.

Mic stopped working today, Bluetooth will connect the audio portion fine but will no longer recognize the mic. I've only had these for 2 weeks and everytime I call support I get a message stating they are on break.

Terrible sound quality especially for a tired set, sub-par functionality, ridiculously low battery life.

The earbuds hold a charge for my whole work day and provide great sound without the pain you usually get from wearing earbuds all day.

I love this style of earphone and have always had great success with the JLAB brand. Love the blue and black colour combo too.

Auch alle anderen mitgelieferten Zubehörteile und auch die Aufbewahrungstasche wissen zu überzeugen. ⊲ Sound/Konnnektivität ⊳ Soundtechnisch wird man sicher schlechtere, aber auch bessere finden. Klang ist ausgewogen und bietet für den Anwendungsbereich ausreichend Qualität. Natürlich darf man sich keine Wunder erwarten, zum Gamen reichts aber allemal. Wer sehr großen Wert auf tontechnisch perfekte Earbuds legt sollte hier nicht zugreifen. Jeder der ein gutes Gaming-Headset sucht und außerdem noch Wert auf Design legt ist mit den Earbuds von JLab gut beraten. Konnektivität ist sehr gut wird auch schnell vom Smartphone erkannt. Ich habe die Earbuds am PS4 Controller benutzt und keine Probleme feststellen können. ⊲ Verarbeitung/Zubehör ⊳ JLab überzeugt immer mehr durch Qualität und vor allem durch die blauen Zubehörteile. Die Qualität ist auf den Punkt gebracht und immer wieder ein Hingucker. Die Earbuds als auch die Kabel haben keine Verarbeitungsmängel und können sich mit namhaften Herstellern durchaus messen. Auch gut und schön verarbeitet ist die Aufbewahrungstasche die ausreichend groß ist und Platz für die Kopfhörer und alle Kabel bietet. ⊲ abschließende Worte ⊳ Wer auf der Suche ist nach soliden Gaming Earbuds ist kann hier zugreifen. Wer besonders großen Wert auf erstklassigen Sound legt greift am besten zu anderen In-Ear Kopfhörern. Von mir gibt’s verdiente 5 Sterne.

Es ist das erste mal das ich von der Marke JLAb gehört habe, Als ich sie über das Vine Programm bestellt habe, habe ich zuerst gedacht es ist ein billig verarbeitetes Produkt, aber die Kopfhörer haben mich eines besseren belehrt. Das Design würde in Kalifornien designend und in China hergestellt, so ähnlich wie bei den Apfel Geräten. Mir war auch gar nicht klar wie Umfangreich das Produkt ist. Mit diesen Kopfhörern kann ich mich mit meinem PC , Smartphone und meine PS4 verbinden und falls mal nach 11 Stunden der Akku leer geht, dann nimmt man einfach das beiliegende Kabel die in der Hochwertigen Tasche, was im Set enthalten ist. Für das Kabel ist nämlich kein Stromversorgung nötig. Die Kopfhörerstecker sind "In Ear" und man kann zwischen zwei verschiedenen Silikon Größen auswählen. Passen tun sie sowohl auf kleinen Ohren, als auch auf Großen. Insgesamt bin ich sehr beeindruckt. Bluetooth funktioniert wie es soll. Es sind keine Verzögerungen oder ähnliches zu merken und der Klang ist für meine Ansprüche Optimal. Das Design ist Modern und sehr ansprechend, auch die Blautöne passen perfekt zum Schwarz. Bei dem Design merkt man das sich da jemand mühe gegeben hat. hier wurde an alles gedacht, auch an den Ohrstecker die Magnetisch sind und wie eine Kette wirken , wenn man sie vor der Brust hängen hat . So fallen sie dann einen auch nicht runter. Ich benutze sie mittlerweile fast überall, Joggen, Autofahren, Zocken, oder einfach mal Musik hören . Bei diesen Kopfhörern hat man einen für alles und man ist bestimmt länger als gewöhnliche Kopfhörer mit glücklich.

Allem voran. Von Kabellosen Earbuds erwarte ich nicht den Sound, den ich sonst von meinen „Over-Ear-Sennheiser-chillig-auf-dem-Sofa-Musik-Hören“-Kopfhörern gewöhnt bin 😉 Diese Kopfhörer waren ordentlich verpackt und neben anderem Zubehör war hier auch direkt ein Micro-USB-Kabel dabei, um die Kopfhörer bei Bedarf mit Playstation-Controllern oder einem Handy zu verbinden. Bei meinen Ohren passen die Kopfhörer recht gut und drücken nicht. Der Klang ist für Earbuds in dieser Preisklasse vollkommen in Ordnung. Nicht großartig voluminös, aber auch nicht Blächern. Mir persönlich fehlen die tiefen Töne. Das lässt sich jedoch am Handy mittels Equalizer etwas korrigieren. Sie sitzen sicher und fallen bei mir auch beim Joggen nicht aus den Ohren. Sie lassen sich bequem tragen und die Akkuleistung ist ausreichend. Bei der Bluetooth-Verbindung bin ich jedoch etwas skeptisch. Normalerweise kann ich mich mehrere Meter vom Handy wegbewegen und nichts verliert die Verbindung zu meinem Handy. Bei diesen Kopfhörern ists bei mir jedoch nach etwa 5-6 Metern vorbei. Auch die Lautstärkeregelung ist etwas unpraktisch. Die Tasten geben kein akustisches Feedback und so rutsche ich bei zu langem drücken auch gern mal direkt in den nächsten Titel. Was sich jedoch sehr positiv hervorheben heben lässt ist die allgemeine Kommunikation der Kopfhörer. Zum An/Aus-schalten gibt es ein kleines Vibrationsfeedback und auch sonst brüllt mich die kleine Stimme im Ohr nicht unnötig an. Meine bisherigen Kopfhörer hatten eine kleine garstige Dame an Board. Diese hat mich regelmäßig angebrüllt, sobald ich die Kopfhörer angeschaltet habe. 😉

At this point I’ve used quite a few JLab buds, so far none of them have impressed me and these are no different. The JLab play is a set of “gaming” earbuds which claim to work with consoles… You must use them wired if you want to use them with the PS5 or Nintendo Switch since those don’t support bluetooth audio (for no reason at all), this isn’t JLabs fault but I know people will assume these will work wirelessly with the modern consoles based on what JLab have said and sadly they don’t. As usual with JLab these are very style over substance, they look great with the blue and black but really don’t succeed at anything important, they just feel so much like generic earbuds when in use, they aren’t horrendous but I really don’t see myself going out of my way to use these if there’s other options. These earbuds are what I call “semi-wireless”, you don’t need a wire to connect them (well, not to your bluetooth supported devices at least) but they are connected together with a cable, in this case it goes around your neck which I personally don’t mind, it’s a little uncomfortable but I still prefer it to wired, it’s very convenient to be able to have them hang from your neck when not in use instead of having to shove the wire up your shirt like you would with wired earbuds. I mostly used these wired, mostly because I couldn’t be bothered pairing them to my PC after already pairing them to my phone out of the box. The sound is exactly as I expected from JLab, super bloated and way too bassy sound, some people might like it but I personally prefer to hear frequencies above 250hz in my audio. With gaming buds I usually expect a bit of soundstage since that’s what gamers care about now (for a good reason too, soundstage is great), sadly these are the definition of narrow, you won’t be getting any advantage when gaming with these. At the current price of £25 I would say these will do if you’re not too bothered about sound, there’s a lot better options if you look into wired buds so unless you’re planning on using these for mobile gaming you’d be better off with something true wired.
