Does anyone have a review of this product for INDOOR USE as it is intended rather than complaints about OUTDOOR USE that it is NOT intended for? Gah.

I used it for a night time cityscape mural indoors about 5 years ago. I'd read several reviews at the time, so I looked the directions over carefully before using it. There are some tricks to getting it to work. First, you have to paint a bright color (like white or yellow) underneath it. I think I used at least 2-3 coats underneath as I was painting over a black surface. Then I probably used another 2-3 coats of this paint over the top of the white/yellow undercoat. The lighting in the rooms were old standard florescent bulbs, and it would take about 30min of lights on to get it to glow when you turned them off. I would guess the effect lasts about a third of the amount of time that you had the lights on, so if the light is on an hour, it fades out after 20 minutes. It is still working fine about 5 years later.

Can i use it on a brown box? After painting it white?

Periodic re-application may be needed for outdoor use. Use of a white Rust-Oleum Primer provides superior adhesion & is especially recommended for bare wood & metal. Dries to the touch in 15 minutes, to handle in 1-2 hours, & fully dry in 24 hours.
