Not 100lbs but still good
These are in no way 100lb magnets but they are pretty good. 100 times better than anything you'll find in the big box store or Walmart.I used these in conjunction with wire s hooks in our storage unit and got so much more for space back.Very versatile too. You can actually use these to find studs in your walls because the magnet is strong enough. Some of my magnets cracked a bit but none have failed yet, so durability is questionable.Great if you set it and forget it, ha ha.If you have metal shelving units or metal doors these work great and hold a fair amount but don't expect the 100lb weight they claim. If I had to guess if say more like 30-40, but that's still really good. They will slide if pulled laterally but so do almost all other magnets.

Here is What You Need To Know...
I bought these specifically to keep a car cover from blowing away in high winds. I had worked with earth magnets before while covering my BBQ, but to be honest I feared them. You do not want your fingers getting caught between to of these bad daddies trying to meet. These come with a handle of sorts, which I really like. One of them didn't screw on right so I ended up with 5 for my car. They are strong, but not as strong as the other ones I had. What you need to do, if you use them on things you do not want to scratch, is put some pads on them. Think thin pads that might keep your hardwood floors from scratching on the bottom of kitchen chairs. I happened to have some black rubberized ones around the house and they were absolutely perfect to put on the base of these magnets. It cuts down on some of the magnetic effect of course, but not nearly enough to render them ineffective. I put a pad on each magnets and try to keep them away from each other for the most part. They are tiny, think 2-3 quarters stacked with a small handle, but they were a FANTASTIC solution to my issue with the padding added. That tarp/car cover is going nowhere, even in 50-60 MPH winds, and it won't scratch the car when I pull them off by the handle because of the pads. I'd buy these again in two seconds flat, but remember what I told you about adding little pads to them. They WILL scratch BBQs and car paint even with a tarp or thin cover between your item and the magnet because they sometimes have to get dragged off the surface. They are strong, but not too strong to work with. Handle with care and good luck.

Stick around
I admit, I have a thing for magnets. They just seem good to have around, and these magnets have also helped me to organize tools, hang lights temporarily or even the car or house keys etc. They are strong, yet it depends on what you order, and they hold items I doubted they would. Some have hooks some don't, they have all proven very helpful to me for many reasons. Have a great day.
