The JonPaul Bow history is the story of a family of craftsmen. In 1960, Peter Prier immigrated to the United States after graduating from the Violin Making School of Bavaria in Mittenwald, Germany. He was a pioneer in many aspects. He brought master skills to the new world, set up a world-class violin shop, and founded the renowned Violin Making School of America. He also began the creation of a non-wood bow long before its time. While fulfilling his passion as a master luthier and teacher, Peter's wisdom and experience inspired the next generation to create bows of uncompromising quality in the tradition of the fine French masters. All JonPaul bows share a one piece molding process. Single-piece construction means the stick is strong from tip to button. You can feel secure playing your JonPaul bow indoors, outdoors or in a cramped orchestra pit. The proof is in the playing! The JonPaul Avanti Model Carbon Fiber 4/4 Violin Bow is for professionals and those who demand professional sound. Nothing compares in its price range. See, feel, and hear the difference. This beautiful bow is fitted with the best materials and is finished in the tradition of classic bows.

Very Good Value!
Bow arrived within five days and is exactly like my daughter's violin teacher's JonPaul Avanti bow. Carbon fiber bow is good for obtaining a rich, full and clear sound. Good match for a darker instrument. Very bouncy with good balance. Grip is very thin, slippery and somewhat hard to hold. Teacher had to apply some type of adhesive substance to the grip. Overall, very good value for the price.

Not worth over $700
I only tested one bow sent by Amazon. Maybe others are better. The bow that I tested felt soft. The tip was metal. It gave the bow artificial weight that it did not naturally have.It was packed unbelievably badly. (from Springdale Music) It was in a plastic bag with brown envelopes on the edges. Amazon put it in a sturdy box.I have seen $50 dollar bows that played better. I would say this bow is worth $100 or less.

Fabulous Bow
Just as advertised. Quick ship. Packed well in original factory wrap. The seller is great. I ordered a gold mounted Pernambuco bow that arrived broken....the case was broken by the US Post office also! He replaced the bow by return mail.A really great bow. It is far better than my Coda. At this price there is not a better value anywhere. My violin teacher loved it.
