Game changer.
I've been working out with great enthusiasm since my senior year of high school (let's not get any more specific than that- I'm not young enough to give an actual age :p) and I can say without hesitation that this is, HANDS DOWN, the best high-impact sports bra I've ever used. The facts: I'm 5ft 4 (used to be 5ft 5 pre-pregnancy), between 125-128lbs, a size 4/6 (depends on the store), and a large 34C/small 36C. I love running, am currently looking ahead to a half marathon, and I have absolutely zero tolerance for any sort of bounce/jiggle/shifting when I'm running. Period.Up until this sports bra, my go-to had been the Fiona sports bra. I've been using it so long that I was originally getting it from Moving Comfort, which apparently has become a member of the Brooks brand. Same bra, different brand, decent functionality. But nowhere close to this masterpiece. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call it a triumph of engineering. Both the band and straps are adjustable, in addition to being smooth, non-chafing, and not at all stretchy.I get where people are coming from in their reviews when they talk about appearance- this bra won't work as the gym equivalent of a t-shirt bra, sitting invisibly under your shirt without visible seams. It might not look cute on its own, without a layer over it.But MY GOD, does it work. I'm not looking for a sports bra to lounge around in, dressed head-to-toe in my overpriced athleisure clothes that have never actually seen the inside of a gym. My sports bra needs to crank things into place and hold them there, totally unmoving, mile after mile. This bra has come the closest of any other to accomplishing that. Think of it as the Toyota Camry of sports bras: not particularly elegant or exotic, but you can count on it to keep going mile after mile after mile.

The very best sports bra for female runners
I love running and exercising, and a good sports bra is one of the most important things for a woman to have, especially if she is large on top. It is VERY challenging to find one that keeps "my girls" from bouncing around. I've tried many different sports bras, and this one is hands-down the best - it is so effective that I have purchased 7 of them! Here are some of the points I considered when purchasing the bra:PROS:It almost eliminates bouncing. You will still move a little bit but not uncomfortably so.It fits true to size, though it's a bit snug. (I think this is why it works so well)The clip at the back makes it possible to wear any kind of shirt, including racerback tank tops.I think it pushes my chest up a little and makes me look a bit "perkier." The "uniboob" effect is minimal. The blue color is very pretty. If you wear a heart rate monitor to train, this bra has no under wire so you don't have to worry about interference.CONS:The stitching is heavy duty so if you wear a tighter t-shirt or tank top you will be able to see the stitches through the shirt. It isn't too noticeable, but it is there. The clip on the back takes some practice. It is easy for me to clip now but the first few attempts were tricky! If you have shoulder issues you may need to have a friend clip it.On runs longer than 9 miles the shoulder straps cut into my shoulders. I attribute this to the bra's superb functioning (it means it's holding me up) so I just wear a band-aid under the shoulder straps on long runs. If you run 5 miles or less you won't have a problem with this. For some reason the white bra isn't as effective as the black and blue ones.

Love it! :)
I struggled to find a decent sports bra that would support me without giving me 'cone' shaped breasts :/ I had previously spent much more on a Freya sports bra (love their line), that bra was fine for low impact but was beginning to give me neck and back pain when running. This bra however solves that issue :) The colors are identical to the photo and it overall looks amazing! :) Some of the negative comments were concerning the fit (some say it's too tight) and the top clasp (some said it's difficult to put on). I would disagree however. I ordered a size up in the band but I felt my original size would have been fine. Also the top clasp takes some getting used to but once I practiced a few times it was very easy :) I actually really love the idea of the 2 clasps because it means the whole back comes unclasped and you don't have to struggle to get it up over your head!! Since buying this I have not worn my old sports bra at all!My size: 32FSize ordered: 34E (I would recommend order true size though)Used for: high impact running/ stairsDelivery: amazon.com gave me an estimate of 4 weeks, I got it in 1! (from Europe to Canada)Fav part: 2 back clasps mean no struggling to get it off over your head!Recommend: Yes, in fact I will order another one in a diff color (and size) soon :)

Go up one size on the number (or two if you like to hook the bra at the tightest hook), keep your usual cup size.
Make sure you go up one-size on the band numberShock Absorber is one of the best sport bra makers in the world. They were tapped to make the first line of sport bras for VS in the early 2000's before they started making sports bra's with their logo's. This is how I got to know the brand. I needed a bra(s) for Army's Basic Training and they held my breasts down without restricting my breathing. The brand is from the UK. With that comes the need to go up on the band size one-size. I am normally (now) a 38DD and I ordered a 40DD. THESE BRA'S REALLY HOLD THE GIRLS DOWN!!!! They are easy to put on and take off thanks to the double bra hooks in the back. The bra can be worn to a work out and after a workout without the top hook. If you are only worried about the uni-boob look then you're not worried enough about the real need to hold breasts down. This bra is made to hold breast down so that a woman can move without breasts pulling on one's back or them moving opposite of the body's motion. If you have big breasts (or small) and do either high-impact, high intensity interval training, running or crossfit, then this is the bra for you. Shock Absorber's website actually show this bra in action with their Bounce-O-Meter. Check them out if you want to see how wearing it holds the girls down.Remember:Go up on band size, cup can be your normal size.

I'm glad I didn't listen to them
I've read loads of reviews saying to go up a back size ect. I'm glad I didn't listen to them. I was measured at marks and Spencer's when I was 13 and I was a 32c. I'm now 31 so I thought just in case my size had changed ( it didn't appear so ) I would get measured again. I got measured again and I'm still a 32c howevever in Victoria secrets I am 32dd two other places said 32c ( so I assume Victoria secret cup sizes are smaller ) Anyhow they all agreed on the 32 back. I brought this bra and did I totally have difficulty getting it on. Once you figure this out its something you don't forget. The bra fit me perfectly. It's amazing, I'd given up on gym in teenage years as all the movement with my breasts just felt uncomfortable. Prior to this I loved sports I was on all the trans hockey rugby ect. I really wish somebody had told me of these bras sooner. They are amazing, I actually want to get another one to sleep in they are really comfortable. My chest doesn't feel heavy. I would recommend these for all women even if just for sleep ! Maybe some women are having issues with the sizeing because they are currently wearing the wrong size ? I don't know but for me, this bra is a keeper.

Broken after two wears!
I was initially so happy with the fit and feel of this bra. But after wearing it twice the seam at the back strap is coming apart. I don't know if I can return it after having worn it and have no idea how to get in touch with customer service! Very disappointing as I have had Shock Absorber bras before and was therefore willing to pay a bit extra.

several sizes too small
I'm normally a 38 inch chest and have been measured and wearing a38 bra for years. However it was impossible to do this up. Husband had to put his knee in my back to do it up. When he'd eventually managed it I couldn't breathe. How is one supposed to run in this thing? There was no advice to order 3 sizes bigger than normal size. Hugely disappointed.

Good but small fitting
I’ve had several bras from Shock Absorber - all of them have been brilliant. They’ve fit and washed really well, and they’ve been comfortable and very supportive. This bra is the same size I would usually order but the band is very tight. The cups are also on the small side. It fits, but would have marked it as a 30F as opposed to a 32F. Other than that, it’s a perfectly decent bra, just poor sizing

Great running bra but make sure you order the right size!
I had been looking for a decent running bra to replace my old one and having taken into consideration all the recommendations to go a size up and a cup size down, I ordered size 38B (I'm normally a 36C). The fit is on the tight side, as it should be, but not so tight that I can't breathe or fasten it up easily. The bra does its job and I don't notice it when I am running. I'm glad I followed the advice!

Amazing! No more breast pain during exercise
Super glad i bought this. Amazing product which actually supports your boobs. I wore a compression bra and had to wear a normal bra under it for extra support, and i would still be extremely uncomfortable at the gym doing hiit and spin, and i could feel my boobs moving a lot and it would hurt. The shock absorber really does help, they still move a little but i experience literally no pain or discomfort. So it really does work and is a life saver. My only complaint is the size and thickness of the straps on the back. I am overweight and have (a lot of) fat and skin on my back, which this bra really accentuates. For this reason i would love if the back was larger and covered more surface area to hold those bits in place. If you dont have a lot of back fat or skin, you will be absolutely fine, i just personally wish there was a little bit more support for the back.

Under bust band runs a bit tight
Bought my usual size 38D and the bra fits very snuggly to keep the girls in check during high intensity hit sessions. The band is maybe a bit on the small side. A 38 is usually perfect for me but this was super fitted, almost too small. I am working on the premise it will stretch out a little with wear which is what generally happens. It will be perfect then. The racer back style really does help to distribute the load and to keep the girls well secured. I have little to no bounce in this thing which is what I was after. I plan to buy a second one but I will wait a week and see how this goes after a few washes. Dried quickly if hung on a hanger or popped over the radiator. If this doesn't stretch out as imagined I maywell re purchase in the next back size up.

For the Bigger Women
If you are a bigger chest size woman I highly recommend this for you. Don't fool yourself by going for something smaller size.I was blessed with a bigger set of boobs. And It is hard for me to feel comfortable and have the right support with a normal sports bra. I use this bra for the gym, hiking when I go for my runs. This bra supports you in all the right places, It pushes your boobs up and in. No sore shoulder straps. I like that you can choose to have the bra strap as an X or normal shoulder strap. I don't have any sore shoulders where the strap is digging in. This bra is good as you don't get stuck midway when you try to get it off after a sweaty session. The material is light and quick to dry.

Best sports bra I've ever used.
I'm an E/F and finding something that holds me in without discomfort whilst exercising has been difficult. Have spent so much money on different types of sports bras and can say you really do get what you pay for. This is by far the best one I have ever worn and I dont buy anything else now, this one was my third purchase. It's the only bra I can run in where my chest does not budge at all.The adjustable straps and clasps can be a little fiddly to begin with but once you have adjusted to your frame it will very rarely need adjusting again.Really good price on Amazon and far cheaper than buying in shop.

Great for high impact and running
The quality is very good, and the boobies are definitely not moving anywhere in this, so it does the job! However, it IS tight around the under-bust area, although it doesn't really compress the actual boobs, which is clever. All my other sports bras seem to use the method of just squishing 'em down flat, which aside from looking weird, doesn't work that well once the bra has been washed a few million times. This one is perfect for running when I really need there to be no jiggling - and maybe if I lose a few pounds it'll be a better fit! I am a consistent 34C in normal bras and still think 36 may have been too big here, but I may order another one in a 36B to test out this theory. If you' have larger breasts, or think you might be kind of between under-bust measurements, then (as other reviewers have said) consider going up one in inches and down one in cup size from your usual bra size.

A good purchase.
This is one of the best support bras I’ve worn. I have thought of buying a Shock Absorber sports bra for a very long time. I often doubt what many of these brands say when it comes to full busted women. They simply don’t cater sufficiently to women like me. I run and I’m a 34 F. I read the reviews and bought a 36 E and it was spot on. I like the Racerback clip for added support. I never unclip it, just put it over my head. I’ve washed it a few times and so far the material appears as though it will hold up. Delivery was good. The price could be a little more affordable and I wished the full range of colours could have been available for my size. I got a black. It’s something I would consider getting a second but in a different colour.

Wouldnt know you had it on
Very comfortable running bra, wouldn't know you had it on. That's a first for me! The band as others have said is quite small fitting, so definitely go up a size from what you normally wear. The top clip on back is quite difficult to fasten. Anyone with any kind of restricted movement in their arms/ shoulder/neck would certainly struggle with it. Other than that it's a fantastic buy, and half the price it was in the sports shop where I originally tried it out for size.

I always help my female friends to buy sports bras. I do like to have a hand in it.
Yeah, I'm a bloke. And I bought one of these. We all have secrets. Mine might be dressing up in a sports bra and working out to D*vin* M*al* workout videos just to get the max benefit and authentic look. No, actually I got it for a female friend who thinks it's fits great, gives good support and prevents excess movement. Personally I like to see movement. Or at least a good jiggle.

Zero bounce but tight
I'm a 34DD ordered the size I normally wear.Around the body it is quite tight. I can just about on the last set of hooks fasten it up. Cup size it's absolutely spot on.Went back to gym for the first time after illness and found zero bounce. The tightness held everything firmly in place as it should. I can still take deep breaths and move comfortably but wouldn't like to wear for very long periods. I'm planning on loosing a bit of weight so can hopefully move down the various hooks.I would definately recommend as far as performance but be prepared for checking your size around body. Lovely design well made but haven't used more than twice at this time so don't know if it will stay great. Fingers crossed.
