Death; An Inside Story

Sadguru has perhaps taken the safe route while writing a book on death! I personally feel that, either he should not have written the book or taken a direct approach and written everything bluntly. Somewhere, Sadguru was trying to take the middle path by avoiding many unpleasant things ( for many readers), about death and post-death, that are given in the Garuda Purana. While his other books are brilliant and very knowledgeable for a seeker, this particular book , for me, was very incomplete, unless of course, Sadguru decides on a sequel as part-2.

Amazing book. Great reading

An area we all are clueless about. Sadhguru givees us insights beyond our comprehension. It will give you goosebumps as you read.

Good book very interesting facts

I liked the simple way Sadhguru has explained the process of life and death, how it is our duty to live fully keeping in mind that we will eventually die one or the other day. I recommend this book to everyone who think they have a lifetime to live and are afraid of the word death. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who have spiritually questioned there existence and purpose. Moreover, I recommend this book to anyone who are in a low phase of life and need some guidance about it.

I saw my father die right infront of me in the ambulance and I couldn't do anything and there are many like me who must be unaware of what death is untill they see it themselves or someone very close to them die. You can prepare for an exam or competition, how can you prepare for Death? No one teaches you about Death. This is one topic where one cannot pull religion in between because it happens to all.. doesn't spare anybody..we burn the body & you bury it, what's the difference? Just like Sadhguru says that we were like dead before being born and we will be dead for a long time after we die, in the middle we live for just a small amount of time so we should live it consciously. I have so many questions that no one can answer, not even Google will help me this time.. Just like how in the YouTube videos, the beauty with which Sadhguru explains and clarifies every question of ours, I am 150% sure that all my answers regarding Death will be answered.. Thank You Sadhguru for everything that you are doing for us. I will post a re-edit/update later on this review after I get the book and I'm done reading with it.. can't wait Update as on 09/06/2021: I promised to write the update on my experience of reading this treasure. I found answers to my many unanswered questions just for example, after the death of my father, right from the day1 people started telling me to be very careful and cautious for the next 1 year, they said that you can be in great danger plz be careful for just this 1year,, I found this very offending because suddenly all these people have started projecting my father as the probable cause of my harm, the same person who nurtured and took care of me now wants to harm me just because he is dead? This bothered me so much.. after reading this book I got the answer as to with what intent people were saying me what they were saying. I would Share 1 more instance of my unanswered question getting it's answer from this book. After the death of my dad, people "warned" me to never ever go "inside" any Pran-Praristhit mandir (a consecrated temple), this was one of the worst part of my experience, because I am a kind of person who goes to temples, many times when I come across any temple I just go inside & unconsciously bow down and go back to my work. But now they told me to never ever go to a temple untill 1 year is over, it kept reminding of the worst loss a son could have but I couldn't help it, for 1 full yr I had to go through this torture, I wanted answers as to why they told me so? This book gave me answers. Some other common rituals of which the explanation I didn't know, for example why the male members shave their head and why it is never good to wear the clothes of the deceased and why it's recommended to donate it to different people. There are numerous instances like this, but I don't want to go on bcoz it will be too long. These suggestions (which felt like rude instructions) from relatives and other people didn't come from their clarity, I agree to that, but they were not wrong either in some way, it's that I found out that the "1 year" time business was just to be on a safe side because no one knew for how long a particular thing needs to be done so they said 1 year 1 year. Also I would add 1 final thing before I end, all the experience I wrote here was not a fancy phase for me, only if someone who has experienced death of their near and dear ones can understand what I am talking about, what those people who live on after their loved one's demise has to go through. To experience what really life is.

This is one of my favourite books of life ever. It opened my eyes and mind to so many things in my life. The book can make you become deeply aware of the necessity of spiritual practices in one’s everyday life without which the cycles of life will continue. This one book completely opened mg mind towards suicide. I literally started laughing at the mindset of someone wanting to commit suicide. I recommend this to anyone in depression, anyone hugely disillusioned with life. Pick it please. Don’t wonder why. Just pick it and read. I also hugely recommend for anybody currently into spiritual practices. It will help them grasp certain things deeply about death, rebirth, samadhi and the ultimate goal of life. Very powerful book. One of the best in my shelf. I highly recommend it to anybody.

Perfetto arrivato prima del previsto.. ma troppo caro

If you don’t know Sadhguru, well go see some of he’s videos on YouTube before buying this book. I’m not a book reader btw! I never read anything. I feel like all the books are just a reflection of people’s mind, but this book it’s a revelation. I mean, it’s beyond and beyond. If you already know him, there’s a lot of things that you won’t find on he’s YouTube videos that he actually explains in details in this book, so just buy it! And don’t worry about the 1-2-3 stars that people are giving, if I would have read this book a couple years ago, I would have give a 1-2-3 stars, because you have to be in a certain state of receptivity to actually gasp what he is explaining. Same if you’re watching he’s videos! But now I’m just speechless, best book ever !!! Better to read this than all the religious rubbish books out there lol
