Legos are far too expensive for molded plastic in a cardboard box but my son loves them
My son and his friends love legos. They are far too expensive for molded plastic in a cardboard box but they are very giftable and they make for a nice and educational afternoon activity that gets the kids away from gaming for a while. Worth the money in that respect.

My nephew loves it
I bought this for my nephew’s 5th birthday. Naturally, I put it together for him. It was the first time I put legos together. The instructions were very straight forward and it was quite painless.

I liked other Ninjago vehicle sets better,
It isn’t a terrible set, but if (like my family) who is relatively well versed in the Ninjago TV series and Legos, you DON’T know what “Ninjago Prime” is, then this set will have a lot less appeal.I’d never even heard of this branch of Ninjago and so the Lego figures with their life bars (above their heads) and some of the funky colors meant nothing to me, and I looked at the set only with the thought to comparing it to a bunch of the other Ninjago sets my son already has. When stacked up to the other sets I thought this one fell a bit short. It was just a car that had rotors that popped out when a pieces was twisted, along with tires that bent and recessed a bit when pushed. For forty dollars, however, I expected a bit more from the set. Yes there were four figures (which was nice) and a bunch of knife-like weapons, but the lack of context to a Ninjago Prime outsider left me a bit underwhelmed. At forty dollars (and just over 400 pieces) the price is fair. My son still liked it but I could tell he liked the other sets better. I would only recommend this one if the child knows the mythology that this set is based on, otherwise I’d give it 3 stars. (I give it 4 stars here because I presume this set was picked out by someone who DOES know the series, and picked it out for that purpose.)
