Great wire strippers, use liquid paper to make embossed number readable.
This is a great quality tool, with precise action and sharp stripping ability. Works from 20 - 30 gauge, so perfect for small or hobby electronics use - not for home or commercial electrical wiring. I use for hobby projects and electronic appliance repair. The embossed numbers are hard to read, so I smeared some liquid paper on them and wiped off excess with a paper towel damped with isopropyl alcohol. It leave white numbers, easy to read.

Great quality, well worth the money
Very high quality strippers! I have never been let down by Hakko's hand tools. I own these wire strippers as well as Hakko nose pliers and wire cutters. The hand grips are very comfortable, and opening and closing the strippers is extremely smooth. I have had no trouble at all with stripping small gauge wires. The grips are non-slip so you don't have to ever worry about them slipping out of your hands. I use this for my electronics hobby so I'm primarily stripping gauges that are around 24AWG. I've included a video of me stripping a 30AWG stranded wire. These strip every gauge its rated for just fine. It strips very cleanly with no marring of the core wire(s). I know there are a few reviews complaining about having troubles with thin wires, but I honestly do not know how they could be having any troubles at all. I'm tempted to think it could be user error. These have worked flawlessly for me so far. Also, my favorite feature is the ability to keep these strippers half-open. Using the metal stopper, you can let them open up all the way, only half way, or stay completely closed. Keeping the strippers from opening up fully is very useful because when you're stripping thin wires, there's never a need to open them up completely (unless you're going to start using the wire cutters in back). This extra movement to open and close just increases the work your hands end up doing since you really only need to open them very slightly--just enough to get the wires into place. This feature makes stripping wires even more pleasurable!

Worked well for stripping 26 AWG silicone wire
I did a few PicoBoot GameCube mods and had to get some wire and wire strippers (I usually solder boards, not wires). These worked quite well for me. I lined up my wire with the indent labeled with the right size, stuck a bit through, squeezed, and pulled. I'm not an expert on wire strippers, but these feel high quality and easy to use. They will probably last me a lifetime unless I lose them.

Warmly recommended -- perfect for electronics work
These are excellent quality for a very reasonable price. For electronics work, this is the kind of wire strippers you want, since they let you strip fine wire. 24-gauge solid-core wire is perfect for breadboarding, and thinner, stranded wire like 26-, 28- and even 30-gauge is often suitable for wearables/wearable prototypes. Again, let me emphasize just how good quality these are -- you can definitely feel the difference between brand-name Italian-made hand tools and cheap Chinese knockoffs. It's really noticeable when you strip a wire too -- if you look at the wire using a microscope after stripping it, you can barely see any marks from the cut.

Great tool, but watch the markings!
My tool arrived and the first thing I did was add the paint as others suggested to allow seeing the markings better. Mine came with markings on both sides but the other side was marked incorrectly as 10awg-20awg and the mm markings are wrong also. Mine may be a one off mistake but that is how it was marked. This is a minor inconvenience and does not affect the workings of the stripper. After highlighting with the white paint it will not be an issue as the other side is difficult to read. Also after using a few times you probably will never look at the sizing markings anyway. The tool performed great so far so I'm calling this a win :-)

Amazing quality, could sell for twice as much
Maybe I haven't tried enough wire strippers, but this is the best wire stripper I've ever used. It makes easy, accurate cuts. It locks shut. It hasn't scratched or worn after a month of heavy use. The open/close action is smooth as butter. The grips are soooo soft that I want to wear a bodysuit made out of that material. Based on my experience with the Hakko stripper, I also bought some Hakko pliers and flush cutters, and they're just as great (neither locks shut though). On top of that, they're among the *cheaper* options, but they feel super expensive. I don't know why anyone would buy a different brand. No, I'm not a shill. These are just that great.

Un corte súper limpio y para trabajos delicados no he encartado algo similar. Cables delgados son pelados con sencillez y precisión. Son excelentes y el material muy fuerte.

Actually really good wire strippers from the brief testing I've done. No snagged strands and insulation comes off in one. I'd recommend given how difficult 30AWG wire strippers are to find (and these're reasonable value to boot)!

Good quality. It is hard to find strippers that will do 30 gauge wire

I bought this to strip 22-24AWG wires and it works great. Seems well built, and produces a nice strip. I haven't tried the smaller gauges, but should be great for that as well. Totally happy.
