My pet snails do not like cuttlebone and will not eat it. Calcium is necessary for shell growth, so they have to eat it in some capacity, so I decided to try oyster shell calcium. They love this stuff. I put two little piles into the terrarium and they were rasping it all night. By the next morning they had eaten down the piles and made a significant dent in the amount that was left. I'm not going to have to worry about their shell health anymore because they're finally eating calcium at the right quantity and of the right quality. This is just pure oyster shell so it's just calcium and that's exactly what they need to grow healthy shells and lay good eggs. This four pound bag will last me several generations of snails. I won't need to buy more for quite a while. It'll last a long time. it's a huge bag of tiny pieces of shell. the pieces are flaked thin and easy for the snails to rasp on and eat and they won't get moldy in the humidity of the terrarium. none of it will be wasted this way. I'm looking forward to how healthy my snails are going to be after this.

This product is very good! I have ordered it several times for my chickens and I am very pleased! The chickens really like it!!! I recommend it!!

This really made a huge difference in the shells of our hens’ eggs! I will be buying another bag as soon as we run out. I really like the size of the flakes, it seems to be very easy for my hens to ingest.

If I could give this stuff 10 stars, I would. Think of the thing that your chickens always need but is very difficult to size correctly and to.make it palettable for your girls. Oyster shell would be correct. I ordered my first bag of this on a.day that I was very frustrated after receiving what was sold as oyster shell pieces on Amazon, which turned our to be standard beach shells that I can drive 15 miles to the beach and pick up. They were listed as Oyster Shell Flakes and the pictures looked like someone had finally perfected this nightmare of chicken ownership. When it arrived, I noticed that the bag was made with heavy water proof material. A big plus when dealing with Oyster shell Sure enough, when I opened.the bag, my impression of.the picture was spot on. Someone HAD perfected a way of processing Oyster shell into little, easy to eat flakes of Oyster. Our 17 chickens love them. They are low odor, snd perfect thickness. We just received our 8th bag. We won't use anything else.

I like this brand because the feed for the chickens is great, however, as far as this product goes, the pieces of shell are a bit too big and my hen don’t care for it. Therefore, I am not giving it 5 stars.

These are the best quality oyster shells I’ve found for my flock. The hens peck away at them easily when they need them, and in turn we get extremely strong eggshells from the calcium.

Bought for my chickens and they all peck at it but my rooster loves it.
