Grohe Flow Straightener
Replaced 16 year old straightener in the bathroom that was disintegrating. Perfect fit and does the job. Grohe makes a great product.

Questionable authenticity
Product came in a genuine Grohe box , but the manufacturer stamp on this says Neopearl. As a professional plumber I can say the unique laminar flow is similar to Grohe, but the construction is much cheaper compared to the OEM Grohe aerator with the Grohe name stamped on it that it replaced. I do feel ripped off considering I could buy the same product under the name Neopearl for half the price.

Works just as intended
I bought two of these to replace 10 year old ones on two bathroom faucets. The Good:They fit perfectly. They look just like the original ones. They're not disintegrating like the old ones. The Bad:They reduce the water flow to a mere fraction of what it is with no aerator/flow control installed, and there's no obvious way to increase the flow. Why can't the manufacturers design these so the low-flow crowd is satisfied, and yet we can choose higher flow if we want? I get that there are water problems in the cities, and in the Southwest, but I live in the northeast, with my own well, and my own septic system.

Grohe OEM Perlator laminar flow
Many mixed reviews on this item— I’ll try to give some detail. This item produces a laminar flow, not to be confused with aerated flow. I ordered 4, each came in an original Grohe box. Metal chromed exterior with plastic insert and gasket. Insert being plastic doesn’t bother me as it won’t corrode.Noticed the flow is slightly less then original part. All in all I’m happy with it.

I received this in an official looking blue Grohe box, but when I opened it, there was a different name etched on the side. I installed it and it threaded on just fine, but the water flow was aerated instead of laminar. I swapped out the internals with my old one and it still worked fine.I don't know if I got a one-off knockoff, or they're all like that, but the image shows the right item, with the mesh metal bottom. The one I received was a plastic mesh.I ultimately decided to keep and use it as my metal threaded part was mangled and needed replacement, so I was able to make it work. If I wanted the flow control part, this would have been useless to me.

works perfectly
The Grohe filter (13 955)fit perfectly and worked perfectly. The filter is a simple device with no moving parts and easy screw in assembly. It came in a Grohe box, so you know it was an original part. A previous reviewer, Andrew Ostrom, believed the part restricted his water flow. That does not seem likely, but more probably his problem is with his old cartridge and not the simple filter.
