Even works when improperly used as if it was a coloring conditioner!
First of all this stuff smells fantastic!Secondly, I am someone who goes through an annual cycle of getting my hair lightened one time getting it professionally colored one time and then uses coloring conditioner for the remainder of the year. I bought this thinking it was a coloring conditioner and used it like one! Yep that's right in the shower, no gloves, & mixed it with my extreme pink overtone coloring conditioner.Thirdly, It didn't stain my shower or my hands and yet did exactly what I wanted it to!I want to keep my pink hair but it keeps fading to magenta with Overtone & Keracolor no matter how much pink I throw at it. The orange in this hair dye counteracted the purple hue of my magenta hair perfectly! And now my hair is exactly the color I want it to be! vibrant hot pink!

Happy with it at first
I bought this product multiple times. Got purple, pink and teal. I bought it back in April of 2025. It is now June 2025. My daughter and I have been doing this temporary semi-permanent dye for Easter. It's our tradition if you will. I love the pink. I love the purple. They came out great and vibrant and they faded away. Great! As for the teal, it came out great but here I am in July and my daughter and I are both naturally blonde and the color will not go away. It is like this nasty green color for any blondes out there when you go swimming too much and the chlorine makes your hair turn that mildewy green kind of algae green. That's what it looks like. And today I highlighted my hair with blonde cuz I didn't want to bleach my hair but I highlighted it with bleach and the color still won't freaking come out. I am so not happy for warnings. The teal/ blue will not come out of your hair. It will just fade and stay there! I really do love this brand and I'm not going to stop using it, but that color is a no-go for me personally. Hope that helps. Anyone out there? Looking for a detailed description.

BLACKEST BLACK, BEST DYE TO COVER RED. STAINS LIKE CRAZY.
I have no idea how or why this happened to my hair, but this might be the blackest darkest black I have ever tried! I started off with FIRE RED hair, I dyed a dark brown permanent box dye over it which left it to be a dark wine red as in picture 1. I dyed it several times and couldn’t get the red out! I finally decided to embrace the goth in me and just dye it black. As you can see my hair is very damaged from past procedures it has endured. So I needed a good, a green/blue black semi-permanent hair dye. And after going through hours and hours of reviews on Amazon, I found that this black dye had green and blue undertones.BEWARE it stains. My big head couldn’t wait 10 more days to return home to dye my hair, cause i was sick of the red! And that resulted in me trying to dye my hair at the house of a friends I was staying with at that time. Now, my friends bathroom is WHITE. Everything from the towels, to the tiles, the walls and the counter tops is WHITE. I thought i was about to drop $100K to fix the whole bathroom after my dye project. To get it out of the toilet seat, marble countertops, wood cupboards and floor tiles and bath-tub I followed these steps, first dry wipe with toilet paper, spray bleach, let it sit, dry wipe, rubbing alcohol + cetaphil face wash (i thought the mix of the acidic and basic elements would help?), let it sit and then wipe with baby wipe. And for some reason the rubbing alcohol really helped with getting the stains out!Pic 2, after dye in the sunshine. Pic 3 is after 3rd wash, in the sun, still no red. Pic 4 wash 4. Pic 5 wash 5. It didn’t fade! Idk why, because each time I wash it, the water still comes out DARK. I also stain my hand or forehead in my sleep from sweat. But it comes out. The bathroom is fine, though when my hair shed, it would leave a green/blue mark if it was wet so I had to be careful to wipe it asap. My hair is still BLACK BLACK, I am amazed. I left the dye in my hair for an hour, I always wash with semi-warm water. I’ve been using the sandwich method while washing, conditioner - shampoo - conditioner. Maybe that helped it not fade? And sulphate free shampoo too! I didn’t wash my hair for 2-3 days after I dyed it for the first time to ensure it stuck in my hair follicles.THIS IS THE BEST BLACK DYE, NO RED SHINE, PURE BLACK.

Don't buy Transylvania unless you want everything stained blue
Arctic Fox is generally my favorite hair dye brand that I've pretty consistently used since 2020. The dyes smell good and make my hair soft and usually don't fade that quickly (I also have afro hair so I don't fully wash it every day but yk). The only one that I have any complaint about is Transylvania. It looks nice but stains everything way more easily than any other black hair dye I've used. Like my wet hair accidentally dripped on my phone and now even 2 spots on my screen protector are stained blue.

Works well, good color
(Periwinkle color) I was looking for a very light purple, even silver-gray color, and got exactly what I wanted! Attached is my color before (a medium-light blonde), and the results, which were about 1/3 conditioner 2/3 dye with 20 (not 30) min of letting it sit in my hair. It turned out a silver-gray with notes of purple and blue which I loved, and it would most likely have been a brighter color if I had used the full dye bottle and the full required time.Additionally, it's notable that darker strands of hair (light and medium brown) got basically NO coloration—only the light hair strands did, so the lighter the hair, the better. Finally, the dye did have a strong artificial perfume that smelled like cotton candy or bubble gum. Overall it was easy to use, but of course be careful using it on white or marble countertops, and you'll have to get your own gloves and brush because the bottle does not come with them!
