Great 8in subwoofer for price point. Dual 2ohm voice coils allow for wiring options. 2-4 SVR-8 D2 subs in a Skar Audio prefab or ported enclosure and a minimum of 800w amplifier should produce more than adequate bass response.

This little subwoofer pounds!

Impressive lil beast. In a ported box to spec, it'll do things you wouldn't think possible.

I am a regular customer of Skar products for several years. I have ALWAYS been extremely satisfied with the high quality of craftsmanship. and the sound quality is IMHO better than brands that are 3x the cost. however, this particular subwoofer, after only 4 weeks, began to make a horrendous noise with a certain frequencies that i would describe as if it had paper or something laying against the sub causing it to rattle. but this is not the case. I checked the cone cap for looseness. Solid. checked the cone and baffle are both in perfect shape. no tears or seam separations. all I can think is that the coil got blown somehow. BUT i have never blown a SKAR sub before. and i have it wired into 1 ohm @ comeing from a Skar 1Ohm 800 Watt Amp with the gain all the way down. So if it is blown, this would be a first. worst part is i am just outside my Amazon return window. so I will try to reach out to Skar and see what they say, otherwise I'm SOL.

These subs absolutely pound and work great in a regular cab pickup.

Blown away by what these can do. I was expecting half of what they give.
