512MB,CL3, low-density, PC133 SODIMM SDRAM memory module for laptops.This is an older type of RAM that will run on either a 100MHz or 133MHz bus (clock). I used this memory to upgrade an old Gateway Solo 1400 laptop for better performance. Initially crashed machine (BSOD); but after I removed the old memory (256MB), it is running fine. Machine runs much faster on the internet now. So far, so good.Memory is not specific to Dell laptop

Sodimm memory for Dell C400.
The Dell C400 is very selective about type of memory used.Easily installed and recognized by bios. Would recommend to others.

almost doubled speed with memory upgrade
All right, so I was running Windows XP on a laptop with 256MB of memory. This easy upgared to 512MB has made a very perceptible difference in the response time for the whole system. Well worth the money.
