QI Wireless Headphones
HyperX Cloud Flight S - Wireless Gaming Headset Who is this headset for? Well people who want a clean desktop. I specifically bought this headset not for its Sound (more on that later) but for the Wireless charging capabilities. Cord Cutters will love these headphones for that extra umph in a clutter free desk. I went to war on wires about 1 year ago. I have to say that these were perfect in my personal war against wires. But god I do love the QI. It is freaking AWESOME just being able to sit them down on my charger without any additional wires, no plugging in, no fiddling around the direction of the usb, and all the while making my desk just a little bit cleaner. Speaking of USB it uses a standard micro USB port if you wish not to use the QI. If you are looking at these headphones then you are definitely looking at the QI wireless charging feature. Having owned many QI devices since its infancy as you might guess I am a big QI fan. So i’ll say this once this is a very impressive cord cutting feature. Construction is solid and the ear muffs are big and comfy. The fact that these are comfortable with the QI technology. Not heavy at all on the ears when the headset is positioned to your liking. It took me a couple of days to get the right feeling. For me the head part of the headset sits towards the front middle not middle or back of my head. For others that may vary. But the fact remaining with QI enabled on these babies is a God Sin. After two years of use you will see a little wear and tear but nothing to damaging. The way they are weighted they stand on either side of the ear cups. However, only one side charges on any QI wireless pad that lies flat on a surface. In theory I guess you can use a vertical pad with them (at an angle) although I never tried it. Now Sound. Now these are the only QI wireless that have 7.1 surround sound. I found another pair of QI headphones called KitSound. They were my second options but the 7.1 Ultimately swayed me to buy the HyperX Cloud. Speaking of sound. I must confess these are my first 7.1 surround sound headset so I am basing my experience with plain own common sense. They sound great! HyperX software and they sound even better when playing games that they support. I.E Apex which is the game I play, Modern Warfare, Overwatch, PUBG, and others. Music sounds great , games like Forza, Final Fantasy, sounds great. Software is something to be desired but totally functional and they update it from time to time. However, they sound great without the audio enhancements when using it as a stereo headset. Headset controls are simple and easy to use. Software also allows you to remap the buttons with the headset to a certain degree. Remapping all 4 buttons was super useful. Durability is good. Bought these in 2020 took a couple of basic falls and still kicking. Ear cushions are big and comfy. Can get a little hot when gaming long sessions. A breather every now and then helps. Listening to music through iTunes is not bad. Furthermore, using any software equalizer greatly improves the sound of these headphones when listening to music. I would say if you want pure enjoyment from the sound only you might want to look elsewhere. Noise cancellation is non-existent. However, if you want that QI function with some other cool functions in a good sounding pair of headphones then this is your Huckleberry.

Great Product For The Price But Slow Delivery
I've been using this headset up to 15+/week for almost 4 months now and this is, by far, the best gaming headset I've tried. Granted, I haven't tried many and the headset this replaced was an old Turtle Beach P11. The transition was like night and day. I'm not sure why headset manufacturers don't come up with a way to store the USB dongle on the headset so it won't get misplaced. I move from computer to computer, depending on the day and on the game I'm playing. I came up with my own solution by applying a thin strip of Velcro to one side of the dongle and the other to the outside of the right ear muff. It works great! I live in an apartment with concrete walls, so the wireless range for me is much shorter than advertised. The range would probably be longer if the signal was travelling through drywall or wood than cinder block. I completely recommend this headset to anyone. PROS: Excellent noise cancellation (it's so good that I cannot hear my own voice at all, which is an awkward feeling for me), awesome sound quality, very comfortable (after breaking it in for a few weeks), great mic sound quality (or so I've been told by my gaming squad), adjustability, good battery life. CONS: This headset fits rather tightly and I have large ears, so it was uncomfortable for a few weeks until they seemed to loosen up. Now I can go up to about 2 hours without having to adjust the headset around my ears. I wish the mic was able to plug into the right ear muff as well as the left, but that's just a nitpicky thing for me. I know most/all headsets have the mic on the left, only.

Don't be scared by bad reviews
**UPDATE** I've had the headphones for a while and I must say that they are just not good. At a certain point they started having static pop sound every so often(say every minute or so) and also would go silent at times, sometimes for a few seconds. Playing games trying to listen and then it's all silent, ruins the experience. The volume wheel stopped working on my wife's pair. Very disappointed. If only they could keep the connection to work properly. I was thinking that there might be some sort of interference from another bluetooth device. So after dealing with the many disconnects and static noise for months I decided to connect my apple airpods max. And from the start until a few hours later the airpods have not gone silent once or shown any sign of intermittence. They just work. I wish I could say the same about hyperx. **Review after a few days of use** Reading all the negative reviews I almost decided not to go for these headphones. Wow how much some people complain about small things. I was left with the impression that these headphones are super bad but decided to go for them since I needed an upgrade. As somebody pointed out it's a plug and play thing. You just insert the dongle and you are good to go. We played games for a few hours with no problem. My friends told me the mic quality is out of this world in comparison to what I had before. Sweet! Since then I installed the software so I have a clear indication of how the battery percentage is dropping. Seems like the battery is a beast. I tried the 7.1 surround sound on Spotify and just WOW, amazing quality. Love it. I really love the mic monitoring feature, works like a charm. Have not tried the GAME-CHAT Balance but I can see its merits. Overall I love the simplicity of these headphones. You can still program the buttons to whatever settings you want and bind different functions to them but I am good with how they are setup right now. I am so happy I got a pair for my wife as well. Thank you.

For the majority of people, this is the wireless headset to buy
I come at this purchase from a relatively non-standard use case: I'm a PC gamer, but I also work for a company in which I'm the SME for tech related things where I voice and video chat all day. As such, I needed a headset that would function both as a great gaming headset AND a great headset for video calls that didn't require external drivers or software to achieve baseline functionality (I'm looking at you Corsair Virtuoso!) as the nature of my work doesn't allow unapproved software. I was previously using the corsair void pro wirelesses which did the job quite well, but had so-so battery life and their over-the-top gamer aesthetic only took me so far in regards to obtaining the respect of my co-workers, so I looked for something that was both a little higher end, and if possible, wouldn't give away the fact that my work headset was pulling double duty as my daily driver for gaming. In that regards, the cloud S's are ideal. They have a very subdued aesthetic, making them look similar to a pair of bluetooth headphones (like Bose or the sony XM1000 series) partially due to their lack of RGB (which is a positive in my book, especially because this allows the headset to have a nearly 30 hour long battery life). They have very solid sound quality (not necessarily the best, I'd argue that nearly any high end bluetooth pair of earbuds or headphones are superior in that regard), the mic quality exceeds anything I'd used prior (based on reports from the people with whom I was calling) but it's not perfect, and definitely isn't as good as a standalone mic. The software (if you choose to install it) is very light and bereft of features, but this is a double edged sword because on one hand, it lacks a lot of customization, or even an EQ, BUT as it's a microsoft store app that doesn't require any permissions, I could actually install it on my work PC (not that it was necessary, as previously mentioned, the software doesn't do much). The build quality is solid, not the MOST premium gaming headset I've ever felt (the corsair virtuoso and the logitech pro X are a little more premium and have less plastic), but they very well might be the most comfortable headset I've ever worn, even for long periods of time. The only 100% negative is that they still charge with micro USB, which is a huge downside in my book and would have been a dealbreaker. However, it's balanced out by being the only headset to my knowledge that has QI wireless charging, which I initially thought would be rather silly for a headset, but ended up being one of my favorite features; as I rest it on the charger between calls, and it's essentially always at top battery! The bottom line is: if you're not the type of person who needs the ABSOLUTE BEST IN CLASS for any one particular feature, I feel that this headset strikes the best balance among the wireless gaming headset offerings, and it pulls double duty as being a very respectable choice for business as well! (plus, it's $50 less than the other headsets I'd consider to be its closest competitors).

Long wireless range!
I mainly purchased this headset for work at home. I have only owned now for 2 days and so far its been good. The volume on this can be controlled from windows. A lot of wireless headsets the volume cannot be controlled from windows but only from the headset. Make sure you follow the instructions in windows regarding setting up 7.1 sound and also enable 7.1 on the headset. There is no indicator however if 7.1 is enabled on the headset and that is a bummer. You can install the HyperX NGENUITY software and it lets you manipulate a few things. I didn't find any way to setup custom sound profiles though. The audio of this to me seems like it lacking some bass. Audio is fine but I feel its not as rich as I am used to maybe. The main selling point I think of this headset is the wireless range. Its crazy long. My office is on main floor and in center of the house. I can go to the farthest reaches of my basement behind my furnace and still get signal and no dropped audio. I can also go upstairs to every room and still get audio. I did some skype call tests doing this and person on other end said I never dropped any packets. In this regard I think the headset is excellent. If you follow the recommended configuration for windows you will have a separate device for communications and for regular audio. This is so you can manage the voice/game mix. You can use discord to manage this and or skype too. I imagine it works the same in teams as well. I didn't purchase it for this intent but im sure its fine. I wish the headset was a little louder. When you enable 7.1 sound it does become louder though, but I feel its I dunno like thin audio. Its not becoming as rich sounding as I want it. Everyone should realize when you use one of these type devices with a usb dongle you are no longer using the sound card that comes with your motherboard. You are using the dac in your headset. So your audio is only going to be as good as the dac in the headset. Overall I say its a buy. A crap ton better than the buggy as hell TB stealth 700 gen 2 headset that died in 2 hours! I hope this headset lasts a long time. I do wish it had Bluetooth as well, seems to me this would be a simple addition and I would happily pay a little extra for it as long as it was reliable. Oh before I sign off it also has sidetone feature (this is where you can hear yourself talk) and it seems good. Will update review if something crazy happens like it dies for no reason.

Good headset, overpriced at 160$
This is a good headset. However, for the price of 160$ I would say its overpriced. I got mine because I had an amazon gift card I found and was like what the heck. After reading all of the reviews I almost didn't get this headset. Let me try to help someone who might be in my situation where the reviews might make you hesitant on getting this headset. I will admit that it's a little over priced for what you get, but you do get a quality headset. Now, I am speaking specifically for gaming and nothing else. If you want to use this headset for something else then don't get it, but its great for gaming. Some people had trouble getting the headset to be recognized by the hyperX software. I didn't have this issue, so I'm assuming people who had this issue either have a mac or some shit box computer that doesn't work half the time. Mine worked perfectly right when I got the program and didn't even have to plug the headset in for it to link and recognizer my headset. Some people are complaining about the 7.1 surround sound being bad. These people must have never ever used a 7.1 surround sound headset for gaming. It basically makes the game extremely loud and removes all base. This is standard. If you like to use it for hearing footsteps and what not in games like tarkov or any shooter really then it sounds fine. Yes, when you shoot your ear drums will pay for it but that's how 7.1 works unless you want to customize your settings. Generally this headset is fine for gaming right out of the box and will do just what most gamers need. The battery life is very nice and the headset feels good (earpieces are nice and soft). MY HEAD IS NORMAL SIZED SO I CAN'T SPEAK FOR ALL THE SLOTHS OUT THERE WHO HAD TROULBE GETTING THIS ON THEIR HEAD. Overpriced at 160$ but if you have an excuse or a little extra money or they go on sale they're a quality headset.

High quality sound, battery life, distance, and with a mic!
I spent legit hours trying to find a headset that could replace my ancient G930s. The things I wanted seemed to never work together. After much agonizing I got this and could not be more pleased. Pros: 7.1 surround sound - I love the sound. I also love that I can turn off this feature while chatting with friends to extend battery life. Legit the best of both worlds. Battery life - While the battery life does go down when using the surround sound it's never been less than 10 hours Wireless distance - It makes it to the sink so I can listen while washing dishes. That's the other end of the house, which is exactly what I wanted. It also goes down a lot farther than my last one did, I never have issues when my computer is on the second floor and I'm rummaging for things in the basement. Fit - My head is giant. Like 23". This fits without issue. The cups happily fit over my ears and I can comfortably wear it for many hours at a time while gaming or chatting. (For comparison my SO has the SteelSeries Arctis Pro and I can't wear that for more than 10 minutes. It squeezes my head and gives me a headache immediately. Despite the SOs head being smaller he can adjust and wear these without issue.) Cons: The microphone doesn't flip up - Which means it's often in the way, particularly when eating. I end up unplugging it on the regular then finding it in random places throughout the house. I'll be sticking with these for a long time, and recommend them to everyone, particularly if you like listening to music!

Comfy, Lightweight, 4 year Lifespan
Exactly 4 years and 2 months of near daily use, this headset has finally reached the end of its lifespan, just a bit out of range of the Amazon warranty. They lasted about 3 and a half years before the ear padding disintegrated and I had to replace it. The last two months the wireless battery life was down to 20 minutes. Overall a great headset, my only gripe being that if no sound is playing there is a quiet, low static buzz. My favorite aspect is how lightweight and comfortable is was, could wear for hours without any pain.
