I have about 15 of these that I regularly use to move files around. They always seem to work better than most. I like the metal body which helps soak up the heat.

No complains on performance.These drives get very hot even while being idle, with no data transferring. For a short usage, like write files and pull out - work OK.

These drives, in all sizes, have become my new go-to for thumb drives. There is even one large enough to hold a mirror of my entire hard drive, making backup easy. When I want to run a Linux Live session of whatever flavour, they're fast enough to handle even the toughest distros. They also hold up well.Sure, I might use some of the other drives I have for temporary purposes, or just to pass files on to someone. These are the ones I rely on, though.

Work flawlessly on every printer I own. I had to replace cheap factory USB stick that shipped with Saturn 3 Ultra resin printer. The supplied memory stick was absolutely useless! It’s a common issue. These took care of all issues being caused by factory USB.

After using many other similar products, including ones with all-metal cases, I am familiar with the range of typical insertion and removal forces. The two SanDisk 64GB Ultra Luxe USB 3.1 Flash Drives I have are machined somewhat oversize so that insertion and removal requires a RIDICULOUS amount of force, with the resulting friction undoubtedly accelerating wear of the USB slot.Yet another problem in this poorly engineered product is that it quickly heats up even while transferring a few relatively small files, considerably warmer than any of the many other comparable products I’ve used. I live in a world in which engineers take pride in jobs well done and would be ashamed to produce junk like this USB drive that is bound to drive away informed customers. Do yourself a favor and learn from my mistake: buy external storage devices from a different manufacturer.If SanDisk were ethical, they would refund my purchase price instead of wasting my — and Amazon’s — time in returning it.I’ve had problems with other SanDisk drives: one immediately fried the motherboard of a computer that worked fine for several years with many other USB drives and peripherals. Dealing with SanDisk tech support: utter waste of time.Conclusion: Never buy SanDisk again. Lesson learned!

Plug one into a USB 3 port and they work great. One problem is they have a metal shell and it gets HOT when in use. Too hot for me to hold in my hand.

Seriously, these are jump drives. They do what I want them to do. They are excellent, but not exceptional. Therefore only 4 stars.
