Excellent Equipment
This product is everything It claims. Excellent quality, but the tech support proved amazing! When I had a problem connecting to my internet, the technical support team went above and beyond to help me. Even though I am not tech-savy, they spoke in terms I could understand and got me back online. Excellent!

Worked great to get WiFi to my barn!
My barn is a couple hundred feet from my house, and I wanted WiFi to put up cameras. I have Starlink, so I ordered the Ethernet adapter from Starlink and this system. They arrived on the same day. I popped the adapter into the Starlink then hooked a mesh router to that. After following the very simple app instructions, it was working. I then placed two more mesh nodes in a straight line through the house, keeping them in range, but getting one as close to the barn as possible. It went through my garage walls no problem and across the property to the barn. I finally have WiFi out there! Very easy to install and worked great for my needs.

Buy it! Amazingly easy and fast. It’s perfect.
I had a bunch of Netgear Wi-Fi extenders. Though they had decent 3+ * reviews, the take away is sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t and set up is completely unpredictable each time and can take an experienced person well over a half hour for each individual device. I had truly no idea that extenders could be so seamlessly beautiful.I installed the app. I scanned the QR code on the bottom of the device. I plugged it into my existing router from Verizon by included cable. I bought the three pack of M1. Each time I plugged in the new device, it instantly found the other ones.I don’t love my last 2 Verizon routers because for some reason Amazon App Store/kids free time will not work on any of my devices (which includes both older versions of various Kindle and echo devices and iPhone 4 as well as the newest Kindles and Echo Dots and iPhone 11 Pro) on that number one top-notch router Verizon offers. So, I was concerned naturally wondering if this would simply extend the problem. I like Verizon. And we didn’t have a problem until we updated our 3+ year old router to get faster speeds on our FiOS. For whatever reason that Verizon customer service cannot determine, their router does not play well with Amazon. In fact it doesn’t play at all. Or with a variety of other devices as aforementioned. Amazon, I love you so much, but your overseas scripted customer service is the pits. This took no technical brains and no time. Anyone can figure this out! It’s like you can’t even mess it up!Instead of having three Wi-Fi extenders with different router names/access points, I just plug this in and it worked. No pain no sweat no tears no time. I even have Wi-Fi that reaches my bathtub so I can read on my (old but) waterproof Kindle :-) heaven. If someone could have told me that there really was something that would work this easily and this beautifully, I never would have purchased three extenders. We went through two totally top-notch Verizon routers. Went through re-programming all of our devices including security cameras. Went through no less than five hours to reprogram the netgear extenders each time we replaced the router. I would wind up angry and grumpy and half the time I still couldn’t get it to work after it took my weekend away from me.my only difficulty again was with Amazon and though I have searched every blessed thread there is, I can’t really figure out why and despite changing many, many advanced settings through the help of technical support. Also it did not reach most spaces in my home. Fun fact: my turn of the century living room is covered, behind the drywall/plaster, — whole ceiling to the floor moulding— in pressed tin!! So forget getting a signal even 30 feet away from my verizon router.I love my three m1s so much that I even got another three pack. I figured now if I really want I could extend my Wi-Fi beyond my back porch, where it’s already getting full signal, so that we could project a movie that we live stream on the phone. If I feel like having Wi-Fi in the basement, I’m ready!I love this. It was like waking up from a bad dream of setting up Netgear Wi-Fi extenders. It’s like someone designed the perfect product.I absolutely have no complaints.

Works well, easy to setup, advanced setup will require a smartphone.
The media could not be loaded. One of the easiest routers I have seen to set up, first router I have ever seen that had a QR code that would allow you to connect to it.Adding more mesh points to the system was as simple as plugging them in to power. Even if you customize the configuration on the main one soon as you add the others they all end up with the same settings. Can be used without configuration, but phone app allows for customized configurations to be mades. Network names, SSID and password can be changed. There are also settings for a guest WIFI network, parental controls, QOS, UPNP, DHCP, port forwarding server and setting maintenance windows and firmware updates. Each unit also has 1 internet and 1 LAN port.I got because any normal router I tried had very bad if any reception in my garage. I put one in the center of the house a second in a corner near the garage and the last one in the garage. I tested and had good connection in the garage although it may show marginally slower in the garage on a speedtest. This is to expected as any time you go through another device for connection weather wired or wireless it will add minor lag to the speed. I did a test and disconnected power to the center point in the corner of the house I still had connection in garage but after I rebooted the unit in the garage it would not establish stable connection back to the main unit without the unit in the corner of the house. This tells me a few things; that each unit has somewhat similar coverage to a normal home router and also tells me that placement of the devices can be very important to achieving the desired goal. Placement of wireless is always important, but when you try to chain things in a mesh like this placement will likely be even more important. One other thing I like about this is that all of the units have internet and LAN ports so they can be interchanged if needed. I tested this I took one that was my main unit (connected to modem) and swapped it all of my settings were still there, I rejoined the WIFI network on a computer and I had internet again. This means should your main one fail you can just move a mesh point to replace that one temporarily and then replace the failed mesh node.Cons: Software does not offer DHCP reservations, routing protocols, firewall, SIP ALG or anything that I would say could be considered an advanced setting. With no SIP ALG setting and no IP phone for testing I do not know how well VOIP would work through this system. These things i believe could easily change in later versions of the software or if there was ever something like DD-WRT, etc released for this platform. For the vast majority of home users or maybe even small office these would probably not be huge problems. If you need a simple Mesh WIFI network solution this works very well and simple enough for a lot of people to set up with little experience. However as an I.T person I do look for things like the mentioned advanced settings although many of these settings are seldom used I felt I should include these details should someone need these things or wonder if it is available.

It works
We tried this product to get wifi connection from our main house to a small apartment on the property. I initially was going to add a separate wifi service but decided to try this first. I’m glad I did. No issues with the signal reaching the apartment. Easy setup too. Thanks to this product, I’m saving $70 per month for the additional wifi service that I would’ve paid for the monthly fee. I highly recommend.
