Lots of different uses.
The muzzles seem to run a little small in size. However, I ordered several different sizes to have on hand for my 2 dogs, and any future dogs. These work well for keeping them from licking surgical sites, and you won't wind up with bruised legs like you would with an Elizabethan Collar. I did have to tape the bottom half of the muzzle with duct tape to prevent one of my dogs from licking out the bottom side of the collar. But it worked for what I needed it for, and the dogs could still drink water and pant with it on. They could stand to be a little bit longer, as a dog with a long nose will rub the end of the muzzle. It was a lot easier for them to feel at ease wearing one of these than the "cone of shame", and a lot easier for them to get around without running into something. The top strap helps a lot to keep them from slipping the muzzle off their nose.

Not very great for mini Schnauzer
I have a miniature schnauzer. I bought this to muzzle him so that I could cut his hair. First of all, I could barely get it on him (which is really no fault of the manufacturer). Second of all, once I got it on him and had it tightened as tight as it would go, he used his paws and pushed it off his face (I did measure his snout as indicated that I should and ordered the size I should). It is an ok product but not for my dog, I had to rig it with duct tape on the tightening area so that it would be tight enough.

Perfect for my little mix breed
Honestly I had my doubts with this once it came in. It feels thin and the straps also don’t feel super durable. That being said, it fits my little demon perfectly. He actually doesn’t mind this one so much which is huge. His snout is only 2” long so I was REALLY struggling to find something small enough. He’s far past the preferred weight limit for this but he doesn’t try to get out of this one like he does with the ones that wrap around. This one keeps him cool too whereas the wrap around one makes him overhead now that it’s summer. This still gives him plenty of room to sniff around, luck his nose and mildly bark (it’s not a full bark). Overall I highly recommend it if you also have a mixed breed dog and are having troubles finding a muzzle small enough.FYI my little fat guy is 49% chihuahua mixed with terrier/minpin/Pomeranian

Wouldn’t purchase again
Quality is okay. The fit seems to be off and slides right off of my pup.

Loved it!!
I actually am very impressed with the quality. *no my dog is not reactive! I have a service dog in training and muzzle training is a great thing to teach to a young pup. Although the top strap slips around a bit. Definitely not enough for the dog to slip out thank god. but definitely would buy it if you are looking for a comfortable muzzle on a budget.

Lightweight and won't rust!
I have a large breed German Shephard. He's not aggressive when away from me, but heaven forbid if enter our home, come close to our vehicles or property. To say he's protective is putting it mildly. He is a long line of working breed so it comes naturally to him. However, when I have company or take him out in public, he needs to be muzzled. Naturally he'll give a warning first with the raised fur on his shoulders and bearing teeth but some people aren't bright enough to know that means to back away. I've even had them come running up and screaming at him, "OMG, can I pet him?". That's literally asking to get bit, regardless what breed you do that to!I've had leather muzzles, only to have them get soft and wear at the studs that hold them together til they fall apart. The metal ones are hard on their snout and had a few rust (from constant slobber, nose discharge etc). The mesh ones are a joke. If you get one large enough for them to open their mouths to breath or sweat, they can nip at you! This one reminds me of Hannibal lector, lol. It serves its purpose! No way for him to nip or bite. Plenty of room for him to open his mouth to breath, sweat etc.I do have one small issue with it though. The skinny straps. It's fine for a tiny or small breed, but when it comes to medium, large and extra large breeds is nothing more than putting yarn on it to hold it in place lol. I say this because the larger breeds have claws that can rip into rawhide, so image the outcome to a tiny nylon strap. Most dogs will try to remove what holds their defense back, which is their mouths. So in order to make this impossible to remove, he has to wear a cone so he can't get his claws behind the straps and remove it. I've attached his collar to it as well but that just identifies him does nothing to help assist the straps. Perhaps if the holes were bigger for us to insert another thicker strap would make this muzzle great. Or perhaps make a thicker strap for the larger muzzles.I'm pretty good at adapting and overcoming so I'll figure out a way to attach a larger strap, until then he'll just look like he just got his manhood removed with the cone of shame 😄.

Didn’t work
It didn’t matter how tight I got it my husky got it off within like two seconds it needs to have better secure systems. He put his paw up under one of the secure straps and it broke the mask.

Not safe for dogs.
Item has extremely sharp edges that could cut my finger. Not safe to put on the dogs face at all. You could maybe file it down if you had no choice. I will be tossing it in the trash.Wanted to return it but i am disabled and cannot get to a drop off and they want to charge for pickup more than product was worth.
