This is classic mens footwear. Nothing beats Florsheim for style and quality. This boot fits like a glove. I have wore Florsheim for years and know the exact size I need. I have been a loyal customer for almost 40 years. Nothing beats the quality of these shoes. I still have and wear my first pair.Update 2/29/16 - I have two pairs of these - one black, one brown and if I could give it 6 stars I would. Not only do they fit great (and you are the one responsible for ensuring you get the right fit, but Amazon's return policy can make sure you get that), they look great. I wasn't a big boot wearer, but I purchased a pair of very fashionable good fitting cowboy boots and liked the extra heel height and ankle support. I didn't like them for formal or church suit wear. Enter the Duke Boot.First, make sure you have your foot length and fit correctly measured, second - don't forget this boot fits the ankle and calf above the ankle. So read the review carefully. Third, when in doubt contact the seller. I have found that they are always very helpful in answering questions. They want you to have a good quality shoe just as much as you do.

I was searching the internet for "boot shoes" and found the Florsheim Duke Boot. I liked the look but was wondering if the D width would be suitable for me. I have a narrow foot and wear size 12B. I noticed some comments stated that the Duke Boot has a narrow fit, so I thought I would go ahead and order a pair. I received the boot today and was surprised that it fit so well. I compared it to my 12B Florsheim Imperial Loafers and was surprised that the width of the sole was approximately the same. The boot's interior sole is a bit firm, so I bought a pair of Double Air-Pillow insoles, which enhanced the boot's soft-leather, comfortable fit. I am very satisfied and highly recommend this boot. Now I have footwear that looks as good as my suit!

My dad was a B-17 bomber pilot in WW2. He had a pair in every color even WHITE which you guy never EVER have in stock size 11.5 !! I always idolized my dad now I can be a little like him although I could never surpass that guy . Love you Mike Potoma , rest in peace.

Looks nice, but really stiff.

This is a great boot. i do have to say that i'm used to a wide front boot and these look more like women boots as far as the width of it goes, very narrow. I usually wear a size 7.5 but will normally buy size 8 eventhough they will usually fit loose. I bought size 8 on these and they are tight, do to the fact they are narrow (d width). My feet aren't wide either, as a matter of fact, i have small feet. i definitely would recommend these boots. just buy half a size bigger.

These my white boots with light brown heels are pretty and elegantly crafted. Recommended

I bought this model from Florsheim about ten years ago when their stores could still be found in the malls. They were my standard dress shoe when wearing a suit. I guess all things change with time.The first thing a noticed when I opened the box was the appearance of the leather. It appeared almost "fake", like vinyl shoes you'd by a discount shoe store for a $39 pair of shoes.The next thing I noted was the odd sizing. I ordered a EEE width, and I have to say the were wide enough. I usually wear a EE. The length, however, was over an inch shorter than every other shoe I owned of the same size. When I had them on, they looked like children's shoes.They went back and the return was easy and the refund was prompt as is always the case with Amazon. (I give Amazon five stars for the transaction and return.)

These boots were originally made from kidskin and there was ZERO break in needed. Now that are common leather, it’s soft, but not like the kid skin. I ordered a half size larger than normal but still tight around the toes. Great looking shoe. Just wish they were as comfy as I remember.
