Great shoes!
These shoes are absolutely beautiful, what a classic and at the same time modern look they have, I’m very, very happy with this purchase.I’m a size 6 ½ or 7, medium width, and I ordered the size 7M (normal width) in black leather, and they fit like a glove, with enough room in the tip for my toes to wiggle and feel very comfortable. Before I got them I was a little worried of the tip being too square, chunky or boxy, but once I got the I saw that that is not the case, they are square but retain a delicate profile and they look super cool.Out of the box they were a little difficult to put on, because the opening to insert your feet is a bit narrower than other similar shoes, but with the help of a shoehorn the problem was solved. Once I started walking on them and using them, putting them on and off was very easy, remember that these are leather and will be a bit stiff at first, until they take the shape and form of your feet. The first sensation I felt when I tried them was relief, before I got the box with my new shoes I took a 30 minute walk and after receiving the box I tried them right away. I was wearing a pair of sneakers but after a 30 minute walk my feet were a little sore, but once I tried these shoes my feet felt surprisingly amazing, because of the square, roomy tip, my toes immediately spread and felt comfortable and had room to accommodate back to its natural shape, instead of the narrower and pointer sneakers I was wearing. I felt relief. The leather is not stiff anymore and I can walk on these for hours without a problem. You can dress them up or down depending on your mood and they look amazing, such perfect, clean, beautiful and classic lines.I recommend to use a shoehorn to put these on until the leather is soft enough for you to do it without help. Other than that, these are very, very comfortable and cool! :D

Really a nice, classic shoe.
I've wanted these loafers for SO long, and I finally bit the bullet and bought TWO pairs. Way back when I first saw them, I think they were considerably more expensive, and it just seemed like there was always something else that took priority. Now, at a much better price, I'm so glad I finally got them. They're a true classic ... look really good with tights and a knee-length, straight skirt, by the way. I first bought a 10.5M (I normally wear a 10M), based on reviews, deciding to err on the side of caution. However, I ended up exchanging for my normal size, and they fit perfectly. For your reference, I have a very high arch, a somewhat narrow heel and somewhat wide forefoot. Also for your reference, if you've seen the high-heeled version of this shoe (that's my description, not theirs), which I believe is called the "Nolan," that shoe was way too narrow for me in my regular width. This one isn't. I wish I'd been on the ball soon enough to get these in the brown, too. As for the comfort, they do have a padded bottom, not overly padded, but not so thin you feel like you're walking around on cardboard. I don't feel a lot of arch support in there, but they are comfortable nonetheless, so there must be SOMETHING in there. I can wear them all day long, no problem.

Hard shoes, too small
I really wanted to like these shoes. I had a pair of Franco Sarto loafers before that I loved, but these are not as good. The left shoe feels true to size, but the right shoe feels too small. It cramps my toes. I still get blisters on my heels after wearing them nearly daily for two weeks, if I don't wear bandages on my heals. And they eat my socks when I walk! They are not very flexible, despite being leather. They are truly hard shoes.

These are a good value for the price point
Some of the other reviewers were correct, when they said the quality of the shoe has changed. I was thrilled to get the shoes at $25 less than the local department store. However, the shape of the toe box has changed a little (straight across rather than longer at the big toe), so they look a little different. I can wear running socks with the new pair, vs. thin dress socks with the old pair, and they measured 1/2 cm longer than the old pair. So I'll buy a set of heel huggers and deal with it.One improvement is that the toe box is reinforced at the edge so you will not get creases in the toe bumper area over time. These are a good value for the price point, but don't expect them to feel like a higher end brand.

Four Stars
Its 3 months to the date I purchased this shoes. Probably have worn the shoes 4-5 times and the inside material is cracking and falling apart. Very disappointed. Wanted to buy other models but changed my mind. DO NOT BUY THIS SHOES FROM THIS VENDOR BECAUSE THEY ARE CRAP.

I have had these shoes for about a year and ...
I have had these shoes for about a year and always had no problems with Franco Sarto shoes. This pair is patent leather and they material cracked and the stitching came out near tongue or tore .Very dissappointed, I have a pair that are the same exact shoe style same brand that I have had for over 6 years and they are in about the same shape as the ones i have had for only a year. Quality has changed in mfg.

Perfect work shoe
I've bought about seven pairs of these over the years--thank you Franco Sarto for not changing a thing in all this time! They wear a little stiff when you first get them, then break in nicely. I slide a thin arch support in them with no problem. They are simple and go with everything. I also like that you can actually walk in them--not always a given with ladies shoes. The shoe holds up really well; as my go-to, I can get about a year out of these, wearing them multiple times a week with plenty of walking. The part that normally goes first for me is the heel, since I'm an overpronator and there's not much to be done about that. Excellent quality and will continue to buy as long as they keep making them.

Nice Shoes But Too Small...
The sad thing is that I really loved the quality of the shoes. They were sturdy and looked really well made. Unfortunately, I had to send them back because the left shoe fit beautifully... Like a glove... But the right shoe would not go on my foot at all!!! I mean I literally could not get my foot in pass my toes. I checked and both were the listed as the same size but one seemed like it was an entire size smaller! I hated to send them back but I had to.

Not really impressed
The fit is not as expected. I have a regular size 8 foot. I ordered the 8M These shoes are too long and narrow. They turn up at the toe which I do not like at all. The toe itself is not square nor is it round it is a combo of both with the big toe area being the part that sticks out the furthest. The quality of the shoe seems fine but, I am not happy and I tried wearing them a few times only to end up kicking them off. Would like to return them seeing they were quite expensive.

Don’t buy!! Poorest quality heel material I’ve ever seen.
This is my fourth pair of Franco Sarto loafers and by far the worst quality I have ever seen. Within a couple of months of infrequent wearing white material was showing through all over the heels.

they're ok
Usually wear 6.5 but my orthotics don't fit in the pair i have (same model of shoe but several years older) so i ordered up half a size. i have a high instep and even with the extra space my foot was incredibly squeezed across the top. hoping for a bit of stretching will help.

Good quality shoe
Overall nice quality and beautiful design. I ordered wide because I have wide feet and I wear orthotics. The show is tooNarrow for my orthotics. I've never had problems inserting my sole in another shoe before. But I will wear them without and in that case they fit perfect. Very satisfied. My friend had ordered the regular by mistake and was worried because she has narrow feet, but the shoe fit perfectly. So basically they are not very wide in general.
