I would say yes if its a damp free, mouse/ rat free shed. Most freezers aren't made to be kept in sheds and will state that on an advert. Keep in mind the wiring and plug are for indoor use not thick cabled or damp proof .

Do you recycle the old freezer

No I asked the council to pick up was about £6 to pick up That will probably be the cheaper option through an app on your local council hope this helps
