FTDI cable for YAESU FT-817
I was skeptical on purchasing this cable as some people recently stated that it did not work properly with their radio. I DID NOT update any drivers, or change any settings in the com port section of the device manager. I am using an ASUS Laptop Windows 11 Home X64. The FTDI seems legit, No issues with chirp.

Works fine with Yaesu FT-897D
I bought this cable to program/control my new-to-me Yaesu FT-897D, and it works fine and appears to be of good, solid construction (FTDI chip, molded connectors on both ends). Worked perfect with current release of CHIRP (referred to as chirp_next).

Purchased this to program a FT 818. Worked as it should.Care is needed when inserting the pin jack into the radio as the pins can be bent easily.

I had no driver issues and it worked correctly from the first time I plugged it in.
The price is right and it works perfectly as a CAT control cable without any driver hassles. I'm using it with an FT-857D and an FT-817 radio.

Worked first try
Needed to put frequencies into Yaesu FT-897. Win10 recognized the USB device and Chirp uploaded the frequencies. Cable did the job I purchsed it for.
