Great and fast read-
I wanted an epilogue showing what happened with the intelligence gathered at tombstone - the only reason it's not a 5

Written in the tradition of Tom Clancy - A Great Read
Chuck Dixon's first ever novel is written in the tradition of Tom Clancy is the No 1 best selling war book in the Amazon Kindle store. The great price is the first reason; the second is the great storyline that helps us learn more about these highly secret SEAL teams. Follow these highly-trained, military men as they train, hunt and fight the enemy. SEAL Team Six are the unknown heroes who endure unimaginable hardship and murderous combat to protect America. In SEAL Team Six: America is suffering as one-man cells are inspired by a new kind of terrorist who speaks to them through chat websites, tweets and emails. They get brought into this new hip online terror group and are unleashed with their orders and directions on how to carry out bombings and shootings by a man only known as 'Young El'. Whose identity isn't known by any Counter-intelligence agencies in the West, to identify him all they have is his voice on a podcast. SEAL Team Six is sent on a mission around the world to find and eliminate this new source of terror. Travel between the USA, Philippines and finally, a showdown deep in the jungles of Borneo, where 'Young El' is hold up. SEAL Team Six: The Novel (#1 in ongoing series) In SEAL Team Six 2, follow the team again, only this time they are thrust into the lawless chaos of Libya and the fallout of civil war. Their mission: to find and retrieve a Chinese national held within a Gaddafi stronghold deep inside the embattled city of Sirte. He is of vital importance if US Mil and INT forces hope to stop WMDs disappearing from within the crippled regime. Short two men and the planning is hasty, SEAL team Six are willing to jump into the fire, face impossible odds and battle enemies from within and without, but if they're captured alive, there's no rescue and no release. SEAL Team Six 2: A Novel (#2 in ongoing series) As published in An Cosantóir (Defender) The Irish Defence Forces Magazine by Sgt Wayne Fitzgerald

Not a bad read, but factually inaccurate
First of all, let me say that for a $0.99 Kindle book, it isn't a bad deal. That being said, if you're looking for Tom Clancey, Brad Thor, or Vince Flynn realism and factually accurate storytelling, this isn't the book for.you. The author does a decent job with forming a picture in your mind with his words. What is lacking though is reality. I know its a work of fiction, but to be honest, this fiction goes a little to the extreme. The SEALs are depicted as bloodthirsty warriors who have no regard for the military rules which govern them. The story shows men with a blatant disregard for human life, going as far as walking by enemy combatants who have been shot and injured and double tapping them in the head. That, in and withof itself, is a blatant disregard for Geneva Convention rules. Does that kind of thing happen? Quite possibly, but more than likely not. Why kill them when they can be debriefed for Intel. Some of the authors information regarding our current military is grossly inaccurate. The book states that a couple of the SEALs are stationed on the USS Lexington, an aircraft carrier. The Lexington was an Essex class aircraft carrier that was decommisioned in 1991 and is currently a floating museum in Corpus Christi, TX. For a book that supposedly starts with the killing of Osama Bin Laden, this fact can not be overlooked. Another factual error is that SEAL Team Six, or DEVGRU, has a great number of E-2 and E-3's serving on the team as operators. Wrong. At the very least they would be E-4 Third Class Petty Officers. More factual errors regarding DEVGRU is that the men are tasked to DEVGRU immediately after completing BUD/S. Wrong once again. DEVGRU is manned by the best of the best from other SEAL teams and there is a rigorous selection process that the men have to go through to even get selected to the team. They are voted into the team by their peers within DEVGRU. The author would know this if he had done a little research on the subject or at the very least read Howard Wasdin's book, SEAL Team Six: Memoirs of an Elite Navy Sniper. Another factual error that I noticed, or it could be a misspelling (but misspelled every single time???) Is that he calls the USAF Base in Aviano, Italy, Ariano. This is once again an egregious error by the author. Granted this is fiction, but it is based in reality. I really hope that the author does his research before he starts on book number two in the series. There are a great number of grammatical errors throughout the book. There are also quite a few spelling errors. A good proof reading is in order before he publishes his second book as well. Action wise I give the book a B-. Factually though the book is an F or a solid D-. Read at your own risk.

Seal Team Six and one good story
First six book I've read. Liked it.This one starts with the killing of UBM. We finally got our man. Kudo's to the team who got him.We then shoot to an idiot in a grocery store. An idiot who thinks he's a Muslim and starts shooting people in the store. He's hauled down by three marines who beat the everluvin crap out of him before the police get on site.Waylon Griggs and his protege Dana see a pattern happening all over America. It starts with a couple of websites run by a guy name Young-El. A guy no one has a location on. These websites seem to be drawing the disenfranchised. Folks who begin to kill other Americans in the name of Allah.Seal Team Six is gets the call when a super hacker finally gets a bead on Young-el. The guys in the jungle in Malaysia. Time for Six to get him.So begins one damned fine read. This one has Heath, Manny, Re-Pete, Chili, Flame, Pig, a CIA agent Blair Freeman who wants to be a hero and could care less how much blood is shed to achieve his goal, Malaysian jihadists, a camp in the jungle, the monsoon rains and one damned fine read.Five Stars

A great surprise
I have long been a fan of Tom Clancy but haven't read much recently due to lack of storage space. Finally investing in a Kindle Touch, I happened upon this gem for £0.77 and thought "what have I got to lose?"Worst case is a poor read for less than a pound. As it was, the story is well crafted and the characters engaging. There is a degree of jingoism, but that is inherent in most military fiction. The only let-down is the formatting and proof-reading.This particular ebook does not format like a "regular" book in that chapters run into each other, identified only by bold headings (note, this has been corrected for the 2nd book) and there a quite a few spelling mistakes which can distract (albeit temporarily).Overall, This was a great read that had me hooked and wanting to find out what happened next and was a good introduction into the world of Kindle

SEAL Team Six: The Novel (#1 in ongoing hit series)
The book is well written. There is little error in grammar and punctuation, and many of the historical facts seem nailed down -- although with the caveat, I haven't done research into them. The type face is well set out and the use of contents make re-reading accessible. the style of writing is engrossing. You want to continue to read and read. The language is broken down well, and newcomers will be welcome to the book. There's even a glossary at the front of the book to assist you in some of the book's more difficult to understand phrases.Couldn't put it down until i finished it

Can't get enough
Anything to do with the Seals is bread and butter to me, providing it's well researched and true to life. Loved it from start to finish and felt as if I'd been allowed to be part of the Seal brotherhood. Great story well written and unfortunately just a reflection of whats going on the world today
