Bona Mega ONE Floor Finish Satin

Previously I have used Bona Traffic HD, a two part product, on some stair treads I made, and I was so impressed that when it came time to apply a finish to a built-in bookcase, I settled on Bona Mega One, a one part finish. The Mega One, at the time of purchase, was significantly cheaper than the Traffic HD, and I certainly didn’t need as heavy duty a finish on the book shelves.Having a satin finish, I was careful to make sure it was thoroughly stirred, and I applied with a quality sponge brush. The application was as easy as the Traffic HD, but without the mixing, and it shared all the positive characteristics, flowed nicely, dried quickly, left a beautiful finish. Every piece got two coats, some hot three. A natural looking finish was desired, so I used a “natural” oil based stain as a sealer prior to applying, and the results are stunning! My son and daughter in law love the bookshelves, and everyone is impressed with the finish. I am Bona’s biggest fan! I just wish I had known about years before. I’ll never polyurethane oil based finish ever again!

Great product, works as intended. Easy to apply, goes on smooth and easily, my first time refinishing hardwood floors and I didn't have any issues. Much easier to apply then anticipated. The finish product looks awesome! Also, about a week after I finished the floor, I spilled a can of paint on the floor and it wiped right up, I was amazed at how well this product protects against spills! Even dried paint splatter wipes right up.

Easy product to apply. I would use the stain from the same company if I were to do this again. Looks great, but does not seem to be terribly durable.

As long as you use the correct thickness, looks amazing. Six months in and the floors still look great. A wonderful diy option.

Every time there is a new low voc waterbased finish I try it out and have always been disappointed but Bona Mega is truly different I tried it on furniture not flooring and there was very little grain raising and you can apply heavy coats for quick build up it dries fast and hard
