Maybelline New York Eye Studio Color Explosion Luminizing Eyeshadow, Blue Blowout 20, 0.09 Ounce

This is an uncommon shade of blue and is a lot of fun to wear! Its primate shade, the triangle on the left in the photo, goes on with an appearance of chalk, in a good way. Smooth after two layers, bright and yet not iridescent or glittery. The "V" section coordinates well as a liner for one's lower lash line. The violet triangle on the right makes a good alternative for the lower lash line and is somewhat iridescent. The top triangle is silver glitter and great for club dancing, but that's out of place with the rest of this palette which I enjoy wearing to work (office, creative). Very fun and I better buy two more to stash against the chance it's discontinued!

Maybelline New York Eye Studio Color Explosion Luminizing Eyeshadow in Blue is one of my favorites. I love the way the colors go one dry and wet. Nice and smooth. When I put them on wet which is my favorite way to wear it these colors still maintain their shine but almost as if they are matted which I love and it gives them a really sexy smoky feel and look. When wet you also get a heavier look with your color so it's great for nighttime. I just love wearing it like this day and night....I just go lighter with my brush strokes during the day-but I still prefer the smokey look with matted shine/sparkle during day than putting it on dry. Though the dry look is great especially for summer ;-)

The colors are SO VIBRANT I'd swear this were a product sold in Sephora or Ulta.Anytime I wear even a single color or go all out with every later, I always get a compliment. This was sold at Walmart but it hasn't returned to the shelf in years.If you're looking for a beautiful grape/plum color of eyeshadow, don't hesitate; buy this.

I have this quad set in the Amethyst Ablazed as well as Pink Punch 25, and overall I am happy with both sets. I find I can do a little mixing of both color palettes and create some great shades and tones.I'm not too excited about the luminizer in this set. It is just a bit over the top with the shimmery glitter and has a tendency to spread - not the sort of look I want. But the colors go on really well and are very easy to blend (I use my own brushes, not the funky sponge applicator it comes with).The colors seem darker to me than the picture, but it is still flattering to my green eyes.I haven't used Maybelline products for some time because I am trying to use more natural products for my skincare and make up. I am disappointed Maybelline uses talc and parabens in these eyeshadows, but I will still continue to use these - they don't irritate my skin or eyes at all, plus, they are too versatile and pretty not to use :)

I've been using this palette for like five years and it's the best when it's brand new. I love it and I'll keep using it. I get compliments like crazy when I wear it. The sparkles get a bit crazy, I find them all over my glasses but it brings out that shimmery POP!

It was a little smaller than you would expect, and don't buy if you want shimmery colors! There is a small layer of shine n the top but the bottom is a matte color. I found this on every one except the silver pigment. I absolutely loved the matte colors! I think even more than the sparkly ones... A great buy for a gorgeous fall color!

Old. Application brush just crumbled. Not good
