Not the most convenient
Great markers, only.you have to shake and prime with use before actually using! I do not like the fact that it makes it hard to use for my purpose. I plan to create acrylic tags around crochet hook stand (rotating), that I bought previously. I plan to label around stand for each hook -- to find correct hook I need at a glance. :)

Get what you pay for...
As a person who paints tabletop gaming miniatures, I know how hard it can be to paint straight lines, especially when you get old. Highlighting sharp edges is an important part of the process, and it can be time consuming. Almost a year ago I started trying paint pens and markers. It seemed like a way to shorten my process, and a way to paint consistently straight lines. I've tried a lot of different brands of paint pens/markers, and I can tell you that they aren't all created equal. Some don't perform well on the first run, and that is frustrating. Most perform well for the first few uses, but then they either get clogged, or become so inconsistent that they become unusable. One thing that I've learned is that these Sharpie paint pens are, so far, the best ones I've tried. The metallic paint looks great, and they apply consistent lines. They also last longer than any other paint pens/markers that I've tried. The last set that I purchased ran out of paint before failing, and that's not a problem I've had with any of the other paint pens/markers that I've tried. The paint dries quickly, but not so quickly that you can't fix an error. The paint inside mixes with a small amount of shaking, and they push & release tip makes them very easy to use. Long story short, you usually get what you pay for, and with these Sharpie paint pens, I think they've proven to be the best value for my money. If I had to list one thing that I don't like about Sharpie paint pens, it's that they don't make hundreds of different colors.

Definitely will buy again
I love these! The tip is nice and fine, and makes it easy to write well on my jelly, pie, and cookie labels! Nice beautiful color, quick drying time! They have never bled on anything. Will buy again!

Works well!
The pens are individually sealed inside the outer packaging. I got a great deal for this set of pens! Was only going to buy a single pen, but this set gives you more bang for the buck! It does take a couple minutes to finally get the paint to saturate the pen tip when it's brand new. The paint also takes a few minutes to dry. Once dried, you can touch the paint without it smearing, but I can still be easily removed with your thumb, and just need a paper towel with water to remove it completely. I've tried other brands of water-based paint, but this remains the best quality. The tip is thick, but you can still write with a fine precision.

Good saturation, tips stay nice
These things are niiiiiiiiice. I used them to touch up an old wooden sign we had hanging by our pool. They work perfectly, the colors are bright and saturated, and even though I filled in a rather large area with the yellow, it continued to work perfectly and showed no sign of conking out. The tips stayed nice too, even though the wood I used them on wasn't perfectly smooth. They are so fun to use, now I am looking for something else to paint. When these run out, I am getting more.

Love the pop of color and shimmer!
These work so nicely! I love the rose/bronze color especially. These write nicely on card stock, even the kind used on holiday cards (just give it time to dry). They give a nice pop of color when used on Kraft paper too! I store these in the original packaging so that they are lying on their side, horizontally. I haven't had any issue with them drying up or leaking, and I've opened them over 5 months ago. *Update April 21, 2016 I used the gold and rose pens to color in a small design on my daughter's dress, and it survived the washing machine! It isn't as shimmery as before, but the color lasted, although a tad faded.

NOT permanent marker.
I failed to realize that these aren’t the standard permanent marker typical of Sharpie brand. When you first open them you have to remove them from the package, then remove them from the inside wrap. Then turn them tip up and depress the tip of the marker down which feels like it breaks a seal inside. Then you have to shake them to mix up the paint, then shake the paint down into the tip, then try to write, then shake some more, then try to write, etc, until the paint finally flows down into the tip. Once writing, they appear to write fine, nice fine point, and nice metallic colors. My biggest concern is that they won’t last long. Since they come with multiple seals, what are the odds this paint will actually stay liquid inside the pen? I guess I’ll find out in the next few weeks. It also wasn’t very clear to me that they weren’t really a permanent marker until I opened the pack and saw just how different they were from regular Sharpie markers. I thought I was just buying metallic Sharpie markers. As far as buying again, we’ll see how long these last.
