GO! Strip Cutter-2 1/2" (2" Finished) Fabric Cutting Die

Extremely accurate. Time saver.

I was glad to find this on Amazon at a significantly lower price than in the shops or from the company. I can't begin to tell you how many strips I've cut with this product. It's accurate, simple, easy and SPEEDY. So much easier than using a rotary cutter. If you have joint issues, this can save your wrists, fingers, and hands because there's no pressure AND you can cut three times the number of strips.There may be a little more waste because of how you place the fabric on the die but there will be fewer mistakes because it cuts a definite 2 1/2" strip each time. I would buy this again.

Of course I bought this strip to bind my quilts, and I love all of the Accuquilt products, but I also use this strip cutter when I make tee shirts. I make a lot of very light weight knit v-neck tee shirts for scorching hot summer days to wear over camisoles. I use the strip cutter to cut the neck bands. I get perfectly cut bands. It doesn't stretch or destroy the knit in any way. Any time I need a 2 1/2 inch band of any fabric for any reason, I throw it on the strip cutter and into the Accuquilt GO. I am eyeing my 3 1/2 inch strip cutter for waistbands for shorts.... I think the Amazon descriptions could be more helpful. When they lumped all of the Accuquilt strip cutters together, we seem to have lost the finished width - the most important piece of info. I believe the following information is somewhere in the descriptions so hopefully this might be helpful where the info is missing: The 1 1/2 strip cutter with a finished width of 1" cuts 5 strips. It is item 55024. The 2 1/2 inch cutter with a finished width of 2" cuts 3 strips. The item number is 55017. The 3 1/2 " strip cutter with a finished width of 3" cuts two strips. The item number is 55017.

I researched a lot before investing in the AccQuilt Go and die cutting sets. I went to JoAnns and they let me try the system. I think that it is great. The strip dies are your best value as you can mark your die (go to youtube to see how this is done) and get strips, squares, and diamonds all from the same die. So what is the drawback? I am trading speed for a little more wasted fabric. For me, a slow quilter, the trade off is more than worth it. The other day it took me about a minute to cut all the strips I needed for binding a queen sized quilt.

This makes my quilting go so much faster by not having to hand cut my saching and binding. It's fun to use. It's easy to store when not in use.

And I love it! I make quilts, and do a lot of 2-1/2 inch strip cutting. The first time I used this, it saved me several minutes, if not hours, to make the strips for binding a very large quilt. What a time saver! And, instead of having some strips that are not quite straight or not exactly 2-1/2 inches wide, these turn out perfect every time! I highly recommend this cutter, especially since it is cheaper than from the manufacturer.

Wer viel mit 2 1/2 inch Streifen arbeitet sollte diese Stanze für seinen Accuquilt haben.Sie ist groß,funktioniert aber super!!! Man braucht die dazu passende Abdeckplatte,und mit 3 Streifen passt sie nicht in die Babymaschine!! Es gibt soviel ich weiß auch eine Stanze mit zwei Streifen. Man kann damit schnell seinen eigenen Stoffvorrat verbrauchen anstarr teufte Jelly Rolls zu kaufen.

A nice addition to the Go Cutter starter kit. It would have been nice if this was included in the starter kit but I guess you can't have everything. I still saved money with the starter kit and I will probably purchase other dies for the cutter in the future.
