Magic Slice Non-Slip Flexible Cutting Board, Gourmet Size 12" x 15", Daisey Garden

I first discovered this painted flexible cutting board a year ago at a kitchen shop in CA and bought only one at that time. I found I liked it so much that I tried to find it again and was happy when I was able to order it from Amazon. My original one was of lemons which I could not locate again but I really like the olive oil and garlic still life and tried it. It's vibrantly colorful and really fun to use such an artful piece as a cutting board. It's got a non-slip backing and it really works...the mat will stay put. I will say that my first one really got worn out from regular use over the past year so it won't last forever. While I still use the old one, it's not in great shape after 1.5 yrs...the colors have worn away along with the non-slip backing. That said, most of the cheaper flexible cutting boards don't last much longer either. By the way, you can't put it in the dishwasher but it's so easy to clean with soap and water that to me, it's not a big deal...and I feel good knowing that it's anti-bacterial.

I bought this to replace two old chopping mats that I'd worn out (and damaged by holding too close to a pot on the stove). This was thicker than I expected, but still flexible enough to allow me to "pour" the cut vegetables into a pot on the store or into a salad bowl. The design is attractive.

I have one of these flexible cutting boards (with a different design) that is getting worn out. I was glad to find this one with such an eye-catching lobster design because a flexible cutting board is an essential cooking tool in my kitchen. Very easy to clean off and to pour chopped vegies into a pot or bowl.

This item does as intended; almost. The Magic Slice cutting board rolls up without endearing any crease marks or loss of shape. It has pretty art and due to its thinness, it's no trouble finding or making space to place it. Stash it in a drawer or keep it out on the counter. Even put it behind the sink up against the wall. There are some drawbacks, though. Not so much with the product, but with the misleading information about given in the product description. I'll go over these.- 0.5 x 15 x 12 inchesI know I'm not that bad in math, but 0.5 inches sounds like a half-inch. This cutting board is way too thin to be half an inch. It's more like 1 centemeter and this is no joke! I wasn't expecting a thick cutting board, but this is like a few magazine pages thick. This makes for its flexibility, but will hardly hinder your slicing experience so this shouldn't be a problem either way. I should just note this, that's all.- Non-Slip Safe - Will not slide on your counter.The product images do not show any other perspectives besides the front so it can be aggravating in deciding whether or not to purchase it. I was expecting a thin, foamy grip on the backside. Not there. So it doesn't have to be foam, but it should be somewhat rubbery. This cutting board slides all over the place. There's no grip. The product information doesn't say grip, but the consumer might interpret "non-slip" as it having grip feature. They should change it to "on-slick". You literally must put force on it against the surface for it to not slide around. This thing will slide. However, again, this does not hinder your slicing experience unless you have other uses for it besides cooking! Just noting.Overall, if you don't look too much into the product information, it really gets the job done for slicing and cutting vegetables, meats, herbs, etc. Be wary, it doesn't say it's a chopping board for a reason. The wood boards are still the best.If you're looking for a decent-sized slicing board for essential cooking use, I'd recommend it. Find which art you like and make that purchase. Just don't be surprised that it's super thin and slides around.

I bought this for a gift and haven't given it yet. I may keep it for myself because the scenery on it reminds me of Paris.These cutting boards are wonderful ! They are durable. They fold so you can cut items on them then carry it to a pot or bowl and fold the Magic slice and everything goes in without getting it all over your counter or stove. Great invention. Price was right on this one.

I'm purchasing a new one - even though I ruined the first two by accidentallly setting hot items on them - that was my fault! They melt very easily - so keep this in mind.However, it love it for slicing veggies, cheese, bread. It stays put on the counter and looks so pretty! This is a slicing mat - not a 'chopping block' - so hacking would be better done on a cutting 'board'.

Slides around on counter top, so it is unstable to use a a cutting surface. However, the design blends in perfectly with my solid maple butcher block counter tops, and I bought it to protect the work surface and it does do that.

Liked this item, it is easy to store away, but quick to take out and use as necessary. Lightweight, thin design, and a good size. Fold up and carry over to the sink to clean off. Colors are nice too, this is a handy product.
