Yes. It's great. Yes it takes forever to cure completely.
I've cast in resin before, and this is about the most economical and least stinky resin you can get. Keep in mind that even after 24 hours, your pieces will be hardened enough to demold, but still relatively soft and tacky. You'll think you've done something wrong, but this stuff just takes FOREVER to cure. 72 hours, I've found is the best wait time for a full cure. If you're an impatient type, this might not be the resin for you, but you can't beat the price. I've found by adding slightly more hardener than resin (maybe a few big drops worth), I can get my pieces to cure a tich faster (but not much faster). However, your mileage may vary. If you're going to mess up your measurements, definitely DO NOT use more resin than hardener or your pieces will never cure. This resin is pretty thin, so if you're wanting to put a big fat dome on your pieces when you're done, I recommend a thicker type. ICE resin is better for doming but it's more expensive. BUT, you could get ICE resin just for doming and save money by doing your casting with this and your doming with ICE. This stuff mixes fine with inks, pigments, and I've even mixed it with glow in the dark powder and made cool glowing charms. It takes to sanding well, and if you manage to keep the dust out of your workspace, is crystal clear. Overall, it's a great value. One caveat: Just because it's low odor does not mean you shouldn't still have a well-ventilated workspace. I've once gave myself a headache with this stuff because there isn't a terrible stink reminding me to open the window, so keep that in mind when working with it. Open a window and put on a fan!

Great resin, makes great jewelry
This is the first resin I ever bought, and attempted jewelry with.Pics: first is the box. The second is showing the resin preserving a picture in a necklace jewelry piece (popsicle sticks to cover faces).Note that I sealed the picture in mod podge first. And the third is showing some jewelry I made with it.Being a newbie to it all, I found that the resin was a little overwhelming to make at first. Scared to mess it up by it being too hot, too cold, or not a perfect 1:1 ratio, but now that I’ve been using it for a week it’s a lot easier. First time use went well. Followed the directions and my resin jewelry came out good! I love how they turned out. I definitely need to work on my skills but I think this resin works well and it’s just me needing to learn tricks. When I got the resin to the right temperature (about 73-75 f), it worked well and had a clear and hard cure at about 18 hours. My first attempt it took 3 days for a hard cure. And yes they were the same jewelry pieces. So I would say I have improved and it’s just a matter of skill and following directions. Would definitely buy again. If you’re wanting to get your foot into the door with resin, I highly suggest this!

I am very pleased with the Environmental Technology Casting' Craft Casting Epoxy! This epoxy is easy to use and provides a clear and glossy finish. It's perfect for making jewelry, crafts, and other small projects. The 8-ounce kit is a great size and lasts for a long time. The epoxy is very durable and doesn't yellow over time. It's also very versatile and can be used with a variety of materials, such as wood, metal, and plastic. The kit comes with clear instructions, which makes it easy for beginners to use.

Great for Jewelry making
I ordered this to try resin casting jewelry, and it worked great for my needs. The mix ratio is a bit forgiving (within reason), and the epoxy was easy to use and mix. A few bubbles formed in the epoxy during mixing, but when casting I found almost all of them could be removed by dividing a pour into several smaller pours and grazing the top of the casting surface with a lit lighter to pop bubbles before continuing casting. I would say there is enough resin here for at bare minimum half a dozen cast pendant-sized pieces of jewelry, and I probably made 20 pieces total.I did find that after a few weeks of use/storage the epoxy yellowed. The yellowing wasn't complete, but was definitely noticeable compared to previously cast pieces. The yellowing process occurred very quickly- I could see an obvious yellowing in cast pieces when compared to pieces made the previous day.Overall I would say this is a great product if you only need to cast small pieces and/or want to see if epoxy casting is for you.

I received a bad batch
I've been using this type of resin im my craft business for years and absolutely love it, however this batch I just received was bad, i left it set for close to 2 days and it never cured. In my studio it normally only takes 7-8 hours because the uv lights i have to speed up the process. But I ended up having to scrap $30 worth of products because of this. I still love the resin but this is the first time I purchased it from amazon and just happened to be the first time I ever had a problem with it.

Easy to use
This photo shows a shadow but the resin pour was excellent. My first time using resin, I gleamed the reviews first, I followed the directions and got perfect results. I bought the smallest size will be buying the larger size. Follow directs and you will love this product, got a few bubbles, used a lighter and they went away. Will buy again!
