Great book - fast service - very pleased

As long as you accept that some things change after publication (eg. prices - especially in Turkey at the time of writing) there is no problem with using Lonely Planet's guides. This one, as ever, helped me navigate around Istanbul and the rest of Turkey with ease.

Really useful and informative guide, makes you feel like any travel is within arm’s reach

Sadly much of this guide is now out of date, but even before the events of early February I was questioning how recent the research was. I have a much earlier edition of this guide which indicates limited change. The most disappointing feature were the maps, some good some poor, but the largest national map is printed on poor quality paper with a lot of ink bleed. Having said that it is still probably the best guide for the more adventurous traveler.

Very disappointed- it was not the latest edition and the Istanbul maps were missing (which I needed). OK if either of these are unimportant to you but sadly I had to return it.
