Works great, easy setup. Fairly quiet but noticeable noise floor to sensitive ears.
Installed this on my car, sound quality has improved a ton, sound has more depth to it and it is way more clear now. This unit is compact and doesn’t require a ton of power, install and setup was pretty straightforward. Only downside is it does have a noise floor, since the amp is so small, internal components cause a little bit of noise, barely perceptible but if you have sensitive hearing it can be annoying until you play some music or sound. If your car is running you probably won’t notice it.

Pure gold!
What an exceptional little amp. The sound quality is phenomenal, the clarity is fantastic! I combined this with Kicker KS series 6x9 components up front and 6.5 coaxial speakers in the rear of my 2019 F150 XLT. I wish I had done this years ago. Only small crux is I ended up needing to run a remote turn on wire as the auto turn on wasn't functioning properly in my truck. One wire and a lot of rerunning wire and it started up with zero issues.I really hope that Kicker expands the Key technology further in the future. It's now a proven concept that can match the performance of most DSP setups but adds the value of being DIY friendly for those of us who prefer to install our own equipment or cannot afford a full DSP setup and the associated installation and tuning costs and or headaches. I'd love to see Kicker offer a higher watt version of this amp. If and when they do, I'll be seriously considering an upgrade. Not to say that this isn't powerful though, I honestly can't crank it all the way up because it's too loud. I love being able to say that! Also it makes all kinds of music better. It truly doesn't matter what you listen to, you will hear instrumentation and vocals that you have never noticed before while listening to your all time favorite songs.

I was skeptical, but this is PURE MAGIC
I installed this amazing device on my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. I wanted to upgrade the factory sound experience but leave the OEM unit installed. I upgraded the factory speakers to Kicker CS (3.5 on the dash, 6x9 in the front and 6.5 in the back). The sound was so bad an it was a huge disappointment. I then realized that I installed some great speakers, but my OEM unit just couldn't drive it. As it's designed to drive the (really bad) factory speakers it limits most of the frequencies and the result was awful. I read so many great reviews for this product and watched some very detailed videos, but I was VERY skeptical about the Kicker Key. How much of a difference does a cellphone sized amp could do, right?I decided to go for it and after a 2-3 hours installation, I ran the automatic setup in BI-Amp mode and BOOM! What a difference! I could not believe it!All the tones were there, the sound stage was amazing, great highs, lows and clear vocals. Everything just sounded 10 times better.Only when you start to toggling the before/after switch on the microphone wire, you understand how poorly it sounded before.. Just amazing.Go for it!

Huge improvement over stock
I used this in my '17 Toyota Tacoma with the stock head-unit. I had previously upgraded all of the door speakers and dashboard tweeters with Kicker units, and the sound was, while much clearer and fuller, somewhat lacking in volume. I found a tutorial on tacomaworld on how to build a plug-n-play harness for this amp, and it installed quickly and easily, fitting nicely behind the stock head unit in the dashboard. You do need to follow the directions on how to set up the EQ, once installed to get the best sound. and when I say best sound, i mean it will sound like crap unless you do, so download the pink noise from kicker's website and take the 5 minutes to tune the amp. you'll be much happier. All in all, it checked off all the boxes for me. Easy to install, relatively inexpensive and a huge improvement in sound.

Great sound in the end but may not work on some newer cars without buying an additional component.
The install is lengthy, but not too much more than the typical car audio amp. The magic is in the automatic programming you run once installed. (You will need a USB thumb drive to do that.)If you are adding this amp to a newer vehicle and have no sound from your speakers when finished, you might assume you have a bad amp. Try pressing the little button on the amp that is supposed to trick the radio into thinking that all speakers are connected. If STILL no sound (that little button on the amp is ineffective on many newer vehicles) you'll need to buy and install another $60 special box of resistors called a KISLOAD4 (also from Kicker) that tricks the factory radio into thinking the speakers are plugged in.For example, my vehicle is a 2020 Jeep Wrangler with factory Base audio system, and I needed the extra KISLOAD4 box to make it all work.Kicker audio has great (and patient) technical support if you need it during install.

great, used in my G6 Bronco
Put this under the steering wheel in my Bronco and replaced all the speakers with Kicker speakers as well. Sounds amazing and works flawlessly, would do it over again in a heartbeat.

Very impressive
Used this in a 66 mustang complete build. Made custom pods for the kicks with tweets six inches above. I have a very nice set of 5.25" CT Sounds components that sounded like a dumpster fire smothered in hot fecal matter. I knew that they needed more power than they are getting from the deck so I went looking for a two channel amp to liven them up. Ended up buying this four channel Kicker after reading lots of reviews. I received the amp on time as expected. It was MUCH smaller than it seemed in pictures. Did the install fitting it all inside the glovebox of the mustang and guess what. Still sounded like garbage only louder. Next step was to hook up the microphone and set up the DSP equalizer, time delay and crossover network. I installed the mic on the headrest and ran the pink noise track. Five min later after some wizardry this thing sounds awesome. Flattened out the mids and tweets blending great with the sub after I plugged it back in after the calibration. I could not be happier with the install and the sound. If you make this purchase please take the time to use the DSP. It makes a world of difference.
