It IS quite nice to read a mathematics textbook written by someone who actually reads literature/ fiction! -The material features his unique approach to understanding and teaching the theory, and does not simply rehash other textbooks. On the whole -- and others may disagree -- I prefer this book to Sipser's, which I find lacking in rigor and precision. A well-written book. Review: The best book on complexity theory.
