Nizoral AD AntiDandruff Shampoo, Fresh, 4 Fl Oz

I’m a guy with long hair and always believed that if you’re going to have long hair, it should always look clean. About three years I noticed that I was starting to have a dandruff problem. It is really frustrating especially when you wear a lot of black and wear black suits frequently. Over this three year period I noticed that no matter what I did or used didn’t help. The longest period of time that I could wear black would at the very most be an 8 hour period right after shampooing. Even the dermatologist with prescription medications weren’t helping. I mean in one day it was so bad that I could turn a black sheet of paper completely white. My scalp was really itchy all of the time and from scratching I was getting sores on my scalp. I have tried every shampoo and treatment you could think of. I was really getting depressed and my situation was getting worse. I also noticed that my hair was starting to fall out more and more everyday. I happened to be watching YouTube and before the video started there was an ad for Nizoral, the one thing I picked up from the ad video was that Nizoral is different because it killed the fungus which was the major cause of dandruff. It kinda made sense and I had never had that claim from other shampoos. I figured that I had nothing to lose looked on Amazon and was about to order a double combination pack. I started to read the reviews some were great a few said not to waste your money. I thought maybe this was another snake oil remedy and I was allowing myself to be suckered in by yet another product’s claim because I was so desperate. I went back to my shopping basket and changed the purchase to one bottle. I have just recently received this order and have only used it once I am about to use it for the second time. I have to tell you after JUST THE FIRST TIME, my scalp stopped itching and I don’t have flakes falling off of me. For me this product has worked magnificently ! I wouldn’t take the time to write a review this long if I was so ecstatic and surprised how well it worked. I wouldn’t tell people it worked for me if it didn’t, because I know how miserable and self conscious I was about my hair and if you had just half of my problem how this might be able to help you how it helped me. I am in no way compensated for this review. I just want others to feel the happiness that this shampoo has given me. If your like me and this sounded too good to be true, just try one bottle to see if it woks the same for you. Now I won’t have to feel like people are looking at flakes in my hair instead of looking at me while they’re talking to me. Best of luck trying Nizoral, it really worked for me..BTW it has a great scent, not that stinky medicine smell that I had experienced from other medicated shampoos.

Ok, full transparency, I think I've been suffering from Seborrheic Dermatitis for years and just never knew it. Initially, when I started getting dandruff when I was a teenager, I just thought it was due to a dry scalp or product build-up that never washed out. Not the worst thing in the world, but still irritating. Getting older, however, it got much worse. Itching, redness, scaling all around my hair line (front and back), it was awful. Pieces of my skin would peel off at my temples and the flakes would be very noticeable. I hated it so much. And sadly, not once did I think to ask a dermatologist about it. So,here we are years later, I still had horrible dandruff, itching, redness, the whole shebang. And then, my mother says one day, "Well, you've always had eczema ever since you were a baby." ... I never knew that. No one had told me that before. But in hindsight, yeah, it made so much sense. I just never considered that the case since I never noticed it anywhere else on my body that wasn't easily explained away. A little dryness here and there was nothing compared to my head. But that knowledge ultimately didn't help the scalp issue. Until, surprisingly enough, a YT ASMR video mentioned eczema/dermatitis and ketoconazale as a topical treatment for the hair. Interesting... Now, this past week, I feel like my scalp has been the worst it had been. Scaling and redness, itching pretty much non-stop, and that was after a shower using Head & Shoulders shampoo. So, I looked around and did some research on ketoconazale. It's a topical treatment for fungal skin infections like athlete's foot, jock itch, and yep, seborrhea (aka dry, flaking skin) and dandruff. Looking up the best rated shampoos with this main ingredient led me to Nizoral. And I am extremely happy to have found it. Again, full transparency, I've only used this shampoo today (day of writing this) and already I see an improvement. MAJOR improvement. I bought the 4 oz bottle, as I didn't want to commit to a larger one before trying it out, and a Scalpmaster Shampoo Brush (THIS IS KEY!!!). So, as soon as I had the bottle in my hands, I'm running for the shower. I used only Nizoral as my shampoo with Aussie Conditioner at the end. I used the brush to really scrub at the scaling and flakes all the way around my head, and it felt amazing. I've tried before with my nails to get the scales off, but this brush is 1000X better at it. I "lather, rinse, repeat" using the brush both times and I could really feel a difference in how my scalp felt. Sure, Head & Shoulders might have a better scent (I think this Nizoral shampoo is practically unscented or at least extremely mildly scented, not really noticeable), but this along with the brush helped my head and hair feel really clean. It lathered nicely, especially the second time, didn't make my hair feel too squeaky and stripped like some products do, and I don't notice any film or residue either now that my hair is mostly air-dried. After, when inspecting my head and feeling along the hairline, I can see the proof. No flakes!!! At little redness, but that was expected, but no huge scales or flakes stuck to my scalp, no patches to be felt behind my ears or at the nape of my neck, NOTHING!!! I... I am so happy to find this shampoo. If this happens every time I use it, I might be a customer for life. I'll add an edit in about 2 weeks to see if the product really held up or not. *** Edit: Okay, it's been 48 hours and I'm still very impressed. The itching across my scalp was cut down at least 80% or more. Very rarely did I feel an itch or try to scratch. Looking around my hairline again, I see a few tiny flakes, but that was mostly around the skin near my temples, my admittedly worst place for the scaling and irritation.Checking around the back of my neck and behind my ears saw massive improvement, I can't feel any patches or bumps at all around my hairline. My hair feels soft without any remaining residue to change its texture. It is a bit frizzy though, but that's mostly my own fault for not straightening it like I would normally, so I count that as non-related to the product. Overall, for a first time application and test, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I knew it wouldn't be an overnight cure-all for my problem, but the improvement I've seen in 48 hours over the past week is amazing! I'll add another update after a few more days.

I don’t say this lightly and there are few projects in my life that I’ve considered full blown miracle products... but this one is it. I’ve suffered with severe dandruff, itchy scalp, dry scalp, redness, flakes everything my whole life. I’ve struggled with this with no project or efforts making any significant impact. Along comes this product after a recommendation from a dermatologist friend. I’m utterly and completely shocked at how quickly and how well this worked. Within a week, a problem I suffered due my entire life was magically cured. I mean it is not 100% completely gone. I cannot believe the difference it has made and the quality I’d like improvement. This may very well be the best product I have gotten for myself in many years. It really has changed my life. No itching, no flakes, no bleeding or scabs. My scalp and hair are the healthiest it has ever been.... IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! Literally, it had never been this good or felt this way. I wanted to wait a couple months to post a review to make sure it really was working and stayed that way. But here I am and it’s just perfect. I’m so deeply grateful that I finally found relief. For others curious, I have very very thick hair that grows very fast. That made for my scalp problems to be that much worse. This project made a huge and immediate difference after just the first use and by the second week of using it I had been completely cured. I now only use it twice a well and that’s all I need... and honestly even just once a week is enough. TL;DR. This is a bonafide miracle project that actually legit works. Buy it. Buy it now. The quality of life change is immeasurable.

So I saw a few TikTokers who highly recommended using antidandruff shampoo as a facial cleanser since some acne can be fungal based and this has Ketconazole (an antifungal) as its active ingredient. That was originally why I purchased this, but then I decided to try hair training (not washing my hair every day) which left my scalp flakey so I ALSO ended up using this as a shampoo. Here is my honest review for both uses. First, the price is pretty high considering that it comes in such a small bottle, but that is true for a lot of antidandruff products. The scent is sooooo nice! Like clean laundry. It lathers up really well and doesn't leave too bad of an after-scent like a lot of antidandruff products. SKINCARE: I have combination skin, super oily but also can be dry, acne prone, textured, sensitive skin, with enlarged pores. I used this morning and night in place of my usual face cleanser. It cleaned the skin really well, but maybe a little too drying (stripped some of my natural oils). I didn't notice any real difference between this and my usual facial cleanser so I ended up discontinuing use after a few months. My skin was clear and it didn't cause any breakouts so it's not bad as a cleanser, but I didn't like how dry it left my skin. HAIRCARE: I have super long, straight, thin/fine, smooth, and oil prone hair (gets oily quickly and hair training for 2 years did NOT change that). When I don't wash it in 24hrs, my hair gets super oily. After 48hrs, the dandruff arrives. This cleaned my hair well, but I did have to lather/apply it twice per wash to fully clear out the oil of my hair. It cleaned out the dandruff that was already there, but that dandruff came right back after 48hrs of not washing. If you're washing daily, this is probably great for you, but for me and my hair training journey, I didn't see much difference between using this and my normal shampoo as far as dandruff development. Personally, this didn't really help me as much as I'd hoped, but as far as antidandruff shampoos go, this isn't bad. The scent alone makes it more appealing than Selsun Blue. I probably won't be buying or using this again, but I can see how this would be a useful product for others. Hope this helps!

I needed a dandruff shampoo that worked better than head and shoulders because I start seeing dandruff flakes on my hair again mid-day with head and shoulders. I then searched the internet to see what other brands there are that specialized in dandruff control. That is when I stumbled across the Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo. Scent: What I noticed about the scent of this shampoo is that it doesn't smell as strongly as shampoos that you are used to such as head and shoulders, dove, etc. I do like the fact that this shampoo smell isn't overpowering though. There is still a faint smell that makes it nice for you to smell when you wash and get through the day with. It, however, is not like ones where you smell like you sprayed on a bunch of cologne for the whole day. Effectiveness in Dandruff Control: I noticed a difference a few days after using this product. Like I mentioned earlier, I would notice speckles of dandruff mid-day when I used head and shoulders. It would feel all great and fine in the morning. However, my hair would start feeling greasy and that is when dandruff would start settling in. With this product so far, I haven't noticed any of this. It would last me throughout the day without a problem. It was also gentle enough on my scalp where it didn't feel itchy or peeling. The dandruff does start returning at night time but I am happy with that because I already got through the day. Pricing: The bottle at 4 FL ounce isn't big at all. For the price at around $10 it could get pricey if you squeeze a lot of shampoo each time. With this product, not too much is needed to be used. It is worth it though if you are worried about dandruff and want it to go away. Overall, I'm happy that I found this product as it did a better job with getting rid of dandruff than other name brand products.

I have dealt with eczema in my life, which I have skillfully kept under control for the most part, but as you know there is no cure and I do get the occasional flare ups. So one day, I’m minding my own business and out of no where it ends up on my scalp (which I have never in my life experienced and by the way is the most frustrating thing I have ever dealt with in regards to Seborrheic dermatitis Also called: seborrheic eczema as I have come to learn by googling and probably the combination of this harsh winter weather) primarily at the hairline and at the nape of my neck. It was horrible, the itching , scratching, oozing, redness and flaking oh my. I always go the natural route before diving in to prescription meds (I tried it all Tea tree oil, almond oil, etc.) nothing worked. I even was so desperate and tried my last resort with a prescribed cortisone and that didn’t even work. So I turned to this life saver and with just one application (letting it sit for about 10 minutes and I rinsed and I repeated, so 2x, because I had it that bad) I felt sooo good and such relief!!! I will continue for a couple more applications as directed and to make sure it doesn’t come back. It smells great and leaves my hair manageable and not at all drying. I then followed it with my usual conditioner at just the ends of my hair, being mindful not put it on my scalp, so I would not interfere with the shampoo to do it’s thing. Get this and you will feel like you again. UPDATE: Although as with any product it performs miracles for a good while and performs well and then it just decides to give up on you, well unfortunately this product stopped working for me. So now I’ve switched to Head & Shoulders Clinical Strength and this stuff is it for me and has almost alleviated my issues. Not to say Nizoral is a product that won’t work for you and it just might, but if you start to use it and it doesn’t work out, I highly suggest Head & Shoulders Clinical Strength.

This stuff is AMAZING! I had THICK dandruff pieces coming off my scalp, to the point they looked like scales coming off of my head in chunks. Not only these big chunks, but they would break off into these super tiny pieces and both were impossible to pull loose out of my hair without leaving more tiny fragments. It had gotten to the point I couldn’t have the top of my head exposed. I was losing hair from wearing hats and ponytails and losing confidence that people thought I was dirty because my hair was SO flaky. I washed my hair regularly, with both a hydrating (whole blends) and dandruff (head and shoulders) shampoos throughout months just trying to figure out what the issue was. Then I turned to the Internet for something that didn’t need a prescription, relatively cheap, and would get rid of it all quickly. My first two washes, I was a little disappointed. A lot of reviews said they saw immediate and drastic results on the first wash. But I still had thick flakes. I later figured out they were just what was left from the previous flakes coming free. The third wash, the magic happened. I washed and dried my hair, didn’t look at my head til after I brushed it in the morning and bam! All the flakes, itchiness, and redness were gone. It does take a few washes! I definitely think this works on certain types of flakes, this is an anti-fungal type, so typical dry scalp this probably won’t work for. I definitely recommend going to see a doctor if it doesn’t work for you, but definitely give it a try! It’s worth the shot. I’ve been using it for 5 weeks now, and couldn’t be happier. My hair doesn’t get as oily as fast, there’s no flaking, and I can wear dark shirts with my hair down 😂 I really wish I’d taken before and after shots, but trust me, when you get as low as I did, you’d understand. INCREDIBLE FOR FUNGAL ACNE! Fungal acne cannot be treated with regular acne medication, it’s different. Fungal acne is more common in humid areas. When I had to start wearing the face mask at work for the Coronavirus, it was very humid from my breath in the mask (also I live in a very humid place). After about 3 days of 8 hour shifts, I broke out in an itchy red rash along my jawline, made of a hundred tiny bumps that were just under the skin meaning most of them didn’t have white heads on the surface. The pics are clockwise so you can compare 1st & last day right next to each other. I started Wednesday & took the last pic the following Monday. LOOK AT THAT!!!!!!!! I am amazed, it got my skin texture to an even BETTER place than it was before I got the rash!! Probably because I live in a humid place and never knew about fungal acne, I was just using regular acne fighting treatments. If you think you have this, GOOGLE FUNGAL ACNE, it may just change your skin! I used this every day for a week, 15 mins a day. I was nervous it would break me out but it didn’t. It does smell like a medicated dandruff shampoo, nothing crazy. Don’t get it in your eyes obviously. I followed with an oil free moisturizer (suggested by users I found online). It dried my skin out even with the moisturizer, but it was a good trade off for clear skin. After the first week when the rash cleared (your skin might clear sooner or later than a week), I used it only once a week because I didn’t want my skin to get used to the medicine & the effectiveness to wear off. I am so happy to be able to share this with other people that might be suffering from fungal acne. IT WORKS!!! Just buy it! Good luck!
