Perfect for Letting Light in but Not Nosey Neighbors
Update since I wrote this review: I have had these up for several months now, no issues what so ever. I live in Houston where our windows sometimes sweat, I've had no issues with this film staying on. I can leave my blinds open all day and when I go to bed I just close them. No one can see in but I close them in case someone gets right up to the window and peeks into a crack where I might not have cut the size perfectly. I know a few others have said theirs hasn't stayed on the window. I did clean my windows pretty hastily, but did clean them before putting my film up. Hope this helps.First Review: I just put this up today in one of my windows. I have no idea if it will stay put so check other reviews for that. What I know - it is absolutely what I wanted. It lets so much light in but doesn't show in or out. If I was close to the window, it might show an image but I'd have to be really close. It's plain, mostly opaque, and went up easily. Here are my tips: I didn't have everything to complete the job so I used my pancake spatula instead of a squeegee, I didn't have a box cutter so I made a template ahead of time and used that to trace and cut the exact size I needed. I didn't have a spray bottle so I had a small bottle from Bath and Body Works w a small amount of fragrance left - poured that elsewhere and used that small spray bottle. So, the biggest challenge I had was trying to pull the backing off, it took me a long time with each. When I do the other window, I will peel, then use my template, and I will make sure to leave something small between the backing and the window film (a sticky?) so I don't take five minutes each time trying to separate the back from the film. Hope this helps. I love open windows - live in a downstairs apartment, I will be able to raise the blinds all the way up and no one will be able to see in but I'll have the light!

Easy to install yourself
Super easy to install. This is nice and thick. We lost all of our shade trees in a hurricane and the house has been super hot lately. We have only had it up for a day and there is already a huge difference in the inside temperature. You can see out perfectly clear but looking in from the outside is blocked.

Good but not great - worth the price
It’s good. Pros: really easy to install, use a lot of soapy water. It works really really well for privacy and blocking heat. Cons: it’s pretty ‘blurry’ from the inside; but sorta expected as a vinyl film. It’s good enough

Great quality and appearance, easy to apply
We are moving into an apartment that backs up to a business and I have been so stressed about people looking in but I didn’t want to lose any light due to having so many plants. After some searching, I opted for this film due to good reviews, and I’m yet to be disappointed.Super easy to put up. My edges don’t look great - the people who installed these windows got glue/caulk everywhere. Impossible to cut around. Alas - it still looks good! Thick but not too thick to work with. It is textured so I think it helps hide imperfections and makes it look higher quality. You’ll definitely need someone to help you peel the backing off and spray it while you’re holding it, went a lot easier that way. You’ll also need something heavy duty to squeegee - a credit card won’t work. I didn’t have an actual squeegee so I used my magnetic door opener for my apartment door lol. It worked!

The concept was good but the outcome was not so good on the mirror side
Doesnt look clear like a mirror. Putting it up wasnt easy on a larger window even after watching videos. I did everything right and it looks like crap. I cant get all the dimples out. It just doesnt look as good as I had hoped. The inside of the house is shady. But people can still see thru and the mirror looks like a carnival type. I wish I hadnt waisted 50 bucks on this. It will come down because im hating the way it looks. I bought silver black

Great film!
So easy to install! The edge could have cut better but that’s user error. It’s the perfect film to add privacy to my bathroom. None of the edges are peeling up after about 2 months on.

Mirror Tint Hides all of my Stuff!
I selected this Mirror Tint to hide all of the stuff I have stored in a credenza in my living room. I have a little experience with tinting windows but, the process is pretty simple. A few important tips I’d like to share is to make sure the glass you’re applying it to is perfectly clean! While measuring and cutting the tint you’ll have to use a few heavy items to hold the roll of tint down or it’ll keep rolling up. When you’re separating /peeling the film off of the tint you will need to spray the tint with soapy water so it doesn’t stick to itself. I’d also suggest spraying the glass as well, it just makes the application easier. I didn’t have a squeegee so I used a credit card to work out the bubbles. It’s hard to show how good my credenza looks in the pictures I attached but, I love how it turned out and now you can’t see all of the stuff I have stored in my credenza!

Good heat barrier
Really effective at reducing the amount of heat that comes through the window, I noticed the difference as soon as I got the film up. There's no huge changes in the view with the film on, you only notice a difference if you're doing a side by side comparison. The light is a bit bluer/less yellow and outside looks a bit blurring but that's it. From the outside everything is reflected, and the reflection is better when its more sunny out.The film was nice and thick but the plastic backing was very curled so it was hard to apply by myself. I laid the film out and tried to press it flat for a few days but it didn't help. Also, if you have pets just accept that there's gonna be some hairs trapped under the film no matter what. I cleaned my windows several times and vacuumed and lint rolled myself but fur still got trapped somehow. You can use water or windex to apply the film; windex makes it easier to reposition buy harder to smooth out the bubbles because the film slides more. Make sure you're using a brand new blade edge every few windows because a dull blade makes it almost impossible to get a nice straight edge. I found a squeegee pulled the film too much so I used a hardcover book wrapped in a teatowel instead.I tried a few different brands of reflective film when doing the windows in my house and didn't notice any difference between them, so just go with whichever brand is cheapest at the moment.
