Lumex Splash Bath Lift with Ultra-Compact Design and Remote Control, 5033A-1

This has been an extremely useful item for us allowing a disabled person to get into and out of the bath tub. The controls are easy to use. It does say to not keep battery in the charger all the time, unlike some other models for which it makes no difference. It is a light and portable device and we carry it to where we need it, in th the lowered position.It stays stable in the tub and is easy to clean.

Purchased for my daughter with CP, worked perfectly fine for 4 months and then the battery would no longer charge. No returns with Amazon and the seller does not answer emails or phone calls.

My wife if immobile. So, I bathe her. The only issue I have with this lift, it will no stick to the tub. The suction cups are too small. Since this is an exact replacement for a bath-lift she had for years, when comparing the suction cups, the newer version had suction cups which were a full 3/4 inch smaller. As a result, when she slides from the chair to the tub, this bath-lift floats. She then is unable to get back into the bath-lift without assistance.

I love this lift chair so easy to use. I have a bad back and arthritis. I can absolutely not get in or out of any tub. I am 78 an get my self unassisted in an out of my tub! Worth every penny. It last a long time without a recharge an absolutely uncomplicated to use. I would highly reccomend.

The product is very good and does the job.

After only 16 months of use, two suction cups broke off of my Lumex Splash Bath Lift. I ordered two replacement suction cups, and I found that it is impossible to replace them. You can not push the old piece through or pull it out. I paid $475 for the bath lift and $107 for the suction cups. Now I have a $580 chair lift that is unusable, after only sixteen months. I weigh 150 pounds and I think it is supposed to support 250 pounds. I did not treat it roughly. Obviously the seat is an inferior product. Now I have to spend another $500, and this one goes to the dump. It did work well when I could use it.

This is a lifesaver. Works very well, it’s safe for fragil elders and makes bath time enjoyable again. The suction cup removed from the back left corner and I need to contact the company to fix it - I don’t think it will become an issue. Great product for folks who don’t want to reinstall a new tub, saved me thousands. Very grateful for this product and highly recommend it.

In the right size tub this item might be useful. That is provided you like bathing in a very 90 degree upright position and have short legs. The controls are clever but the feet placement and stability depend too largely upon moderate suction cups interacting with multiple curved surfaces. A reasonable solution for the dollar but relaxing bathers are going to have to pay more apparently.
