Great replacement of my Merrells.
I got my first pair of these years ago when they were under a different listing. I've had Trail Gloves (IDK which gen), and gen 3 and 4 of the Vapor gloves and these are obviously made to mimic the Vapor 3's. My pair of Tesla's has held up since 2018 for my gym and running shoe. They were used primarily indoors and running on tracks, but that's a heck of a lifetime. None of my Merrells lasted this long, although they were used as dailies. After my last pair of those work out I tried the newest trail gloves and found arch support which was terribly uncomfortable after adapting to barefoot shoes. IDK why they changed the formula. Thankfully TSLA continues to carry the torch and does so much much cheaper. I just wish they would make an all black pair. The camo is the closest but I wouldn't want to wear them to work. That aside, they can have sketchy QC. My last pair that I used for years has one shoe labeled 10.5 even though its a 12. I ordered 12's again and they were clown shoes compared to the last pair. Returned and got 11's and they fit perfectly (just like my old 12's) Thankfully free returns made it stress free to have to reorder.I'll also mention that these are nicer than the Whitins that I've tried. Those had a heavy sole that made the super floppy when walking, and I had to try a couple pairs to get one that wasn't glued up at a funny angle. They looked more normal than these, but functionality wise they are way better. My plan is to continue to use these as my gym shoes, and get higher end shoes that look more normal the Icarus Ascent (whenever they release the black/gum) as my daily shoes. I've tried a couple other brands and feel like a wasted a ton of money on my vivobarefoots since the leather constricts my toes from bending even though the sole is great. I got some STR/KE Haze trainers and they look great but are also super constrictive (tight band up by the toes)I'll keep getting these TSLAs. Wish they'd branch out to some different models.

A true barefoot shoe
I have three pairs of barefoot shoes and these feel the most barefoot by far. Sometimes stop to put on shoes before I go outside and I forget that I'm already wearing them! I wear a men's 9 and the size is perfect. The sole is nicely sculpted to provide good traction and slip resistance. When I first started wearing them, my feet weren't used to getting so much feedback so I put in some insoles to provide more cushion. Now that I wear barefoot shoes every day I've removed the insoles. I have done a 4 mile walk in these, no problem. The only complaint I would have is that small stones and junk can get into the shoes a little easier than my other pairs, so I generally don't use these on trails.

Honest Review: Durability Fail
For context, this is my first pair of barefoot shoes. I bought them for cross training and 15 min warm up walks outside. Received July 11th today is July 15th. They look rad, I feel rad, and the shoes are super lightweight.FitI ordered 9.5. I wear 10.5-11 typically depending on the brand and style of shoe. I have narrow feet so I ordered about 1 size down based on the size chart and they fit great. The toe box could be a bit wider but maybe they are meant to stretch. Overall, I call it a moderately roomy toebox- not restricting but toes spread to both side when walking.ComfortSurprisingly comfortable without any real cushioning. My high arches have always caused pain unless cushioning is maxed out. No arch pain with these. Think strapping a piece of tire to the bottom of your foot- zero concerns about walking on rocks.DurabilityDurability is a major concern for me. I have walked 1 mile on 2 occasions and lifted weights (upper body parts) in them twice. Not much usage yet as I intentionally adjust to this type if shoe. Already, the sole has begun to separate from the shoe. For this, I will return and consider another brand. The materials used seem to be high quality but I have read other reviews that confirm I did not receive a rare lemon. This is a legit design flaw or glue quality issue that should be addressed.SummaryEverything TSLA promises except for durability. 4 days and under 3 miles and they are pulling apart. I am now very excited to jump on the barefoot bandwagon just not with this brand.

Glue discoloration very visible on upper. Size down 0.5 to 1. Extra loose fabric=unapealing folds
SIZING: recommend you size down 0.5 to 1. I usually wear 12.5 or sometimes 13 in Nike, Asics, Adidas, etc. The size 12 of these fit me correctly.DISCOLORATION: There was a ton of visible white glue visible on the upper part of the shoe where the fabric meets the rubber/synthetic sole. There were also at least a couple spots where it apparently dripped another inch or two onto the fabric, leaving a darker stain where they may have tried to clean it up. I showed some of this in the photos (1 & 2.)APPEARANCE - WEIRD FABRIC FOLDS: It's as if the fabric wasn't cut correctly so there is extra material piling up in weird folds. (Example in photo 3.) There are a bunch of folds the fabric on the sides of the shoe and at the top near your toes. Sometimes a lightweight fabric upper shoe can have a bit of a fold near the toes and that's normal, but these are by far the worst I've seen and include a bunch of folds on the sides.COLOR: Last nitpick is these are labeled as green on both Amazon and the packaging, but are clearly very blue in person and on the Amazon photo. There's a little bit of teal, but nobody would call this green. The photo is pretty accurate so I wasn't surprised. These should just be labeled as blue.COMFORT: Overall the comfort was okay, but I've tried several other similar priced, competing lightweight shoes on Amazon (Whitin and Orangineer for example) and I liked this shoe the least. The wide toe area is indeed nice. Usually my big toe feels cramped in normal shoes.
