This fan has the looks and features that connected customers are looking for. If you are looking for a simple fan without any new technology, just pull chains, this fan is probably not for you. I really like this fan. It is european style meaning that the power connections are done a little differently, mounting is slightly different, but the motor is 120 Vac for the US market. There are a few notable features that this fan has: 1) If you supply power to the fan through a wall switch, the fan speed, light intensity, and light color will all be retained. So if the switch is off, when you turn the switch on it remembers the previous setting. 2) The version of remote that came with this fan now includes a separate switch for light on/off and light color adjustment. This means that the problem some of the reviews mention that the light is not dimmable (only the color) has been fixed in this version. 3) This fan can be connected to wifi, the manufacturer recommends Tuya Smart, which is a free app to control the fan. You can connect to Alexa or other automation through this app. Once set up, it works seamlessly. The Tuya app will allow full adjustment of the light color, and full dimmability. Alexa will have the same control. Also app controls the fan speeds 1 thru 6, same as the remote control. So there are a lot of options. The fan build is excellent, solid wood blades, no balance issues. Very quiet motor. Sleek look. It does start up a little different due to the dc motor, but perfectly normal after that. The instructions are not exactly complete. There is a rubber circle included that is not in the instructions. I figured out where it goes, and recommend that you use it. It provides insulation and prevents vibrations. See the pictures which show how to install the cover, and how it looks with the mounting bracket installed. The canopy will cover all of this (except the outside edge of the rubber circle, because the canopy sits inside of the edge) after the fan is mounted. You will also need to supply the screws that fit your fan box. These normally come with the fan box. The included screws do not fit US boxes. This is not a hard fan to install, but because it is a little different, it requires some patience. But it is worth the effort.

Stylish and Functional! I purchased this 52" modern ceiling fan, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! The design is sleek and contemporary. The fan operates quietly, even on higher speeds, and provides excellent airflow. Installation was straightforward, and the fan looks great when it's on. We purchased the 60" indoor/outdoor model to install at our daughters place out on her fully covered patio. Nothing was missing from the box and the fan went up fine after we managed to get power to the installation. The biggest issue is that the manual does not really provide proper instruction as to how the unit is supposed to be assembled and connected to power. There were parts included that did not appear to have any proper mounting point and that the manual did not explain. It's a shame. Of course we did figure the wiring part out and I happen to really like the design. I just wish they explained it better. I will dwell for a minute on what I consider to be a great feature of the Ovlaim: It does not require the use of a single wire-nut to install it. For this device, the house power goes to an insulated terminal block attached to the main fan bracket. The terminal block has 3 recesses marked "L, N. +" In this case the L stands for Line or Hot (typically the black wire), N is for the neutral, (typically white) and the "+" in this instance means the bare or grounding line. So what you do is strip the hot and neutral wires back about 3/8" and insert them into the terminal block recesses. Push the bare ground wire end into the + recess and tighten them in place by screwing in some little setscrews in the terminal block. That's it. All of the wires from your house attach to the bracket alone. From there the bracket connects to everything else via simple plug jacks. It makes for a remarkably clean install and makes things much easier when you are trying to get all of the wires and transmitter tucked inside the fan canopy. One of the reasons I ordered this fan is that it is a WiFi compatible smart device that my daughter wants to be able to control with Alexa. Unfortunately the cable internet provider she uses went hard down yesterday so we could not hook the fan up to Wifi and test the internet stuff. If there is any problem getting that done once her internet has been restored I will edit this review. But in the meantime the provided remote works flawlessly. You can set speed, forward or reverse, lamp brightness, and lamp color temperature using just the remote. The lamp is adjustable from a very intense cool white all the way down to a nice warm incandescent feel. The fan is quiet, you do not hear the motor at all, just the blades pushing through the air as they spin. All in all a nice fan, just be ready to figure out all the unexplained steps from the wholly inadequate manual.

Bought this after returning one that was not measured correctly by the contractor. Very attractive, good value and looks much more expensive than it was. Updates the entire room. Works well and was able to be installed on the slant on a vaulted ceiling. The contractor didn't seem to have a problem with installation.

Sehr guter und Leistungsfähiger Lüfter dabei wirklich leise. Habe den Lüfter sogar im Schlafzimmer verbaut. Aber am besten ist der Service, hatte nach einen Jahr ein Problem mit der W-Lan Verbindung, hatte mich dann an Amazon gewendete und sofort kompetente Hilfe bekommen, es ging sogar bis ans Werk von Ovlaim. Nach ein paar tagen wurde mir anstandslos einen neuen Satz Fernbedienung und Empfänger kostenlos geschickt. Perfekt !!! Besser geht es nicht. Vielen Dank

The fan is so pretty. All functions works great. The wooden blades are handmade plane natural color not polished like shown in pictures, but still looks great. In my fan there is a balancing problem also and so it shakes from side to side slightly. I am sure it will be fixed and it will not be a common problem. And yes there is a sharp tone from fan whenever you press any button on remote for confirmation, which some have reviewed is a very loud. For me it's acceptable.

Easy to install, looks and works great, very quiet and i would say worth the money. Installed at my mother's as a replacement for 40 year old wickes fans (that still worked). She loves them especially the remote control as she's 95 and doesn't walk very well. Would recommend so far and hopefully they'll last as long as the previous ones.

Fan makes no noise, great quality and even on low provides a nice amount of air flow. Has helped reduce the amount of the time air conditioner needs to be on and circulates the cool air efficiently.
