Best Speaker Fabric
I have a 1,000 watt 12" piano black Velodyne subwoofer that I've kept pristine since 2006. I still have the box, never use the remote. It's near perfect. But last year, something fell against it ripping the grill fabric and badly damaging the grill frame. I took the frame to a local stereo repair shop and he returned it three months later almost ruined. He glued fabric over the torn fabric and filled the frame grommet holes with glue. I called Velodyne but after all this time, there's no help. I cleaned up and repaired the frame and one night I found the Simply Speakers video on how to re-fabric a speaker grill. I ordered their glue and some other brand of material. I tried four times to get it right but it went bad every time and cleaning the glue off in between was a nightmare. I contacted Simply Speakers to see if I could send it in but they don't perform this service anymore. One last try, I ordered their Simply Speakers brand of fabric. That's the trick! It's thicker (but not too thick), better quality, stretches tighter, and is easier to work with. It's also a really nice dark black color. The project turned out better than I could expect. Some pointers; use a sharp exacto-knife. If it isn't as sharp as possible, you'll snag and pull the fabric off the glue. Second, clean the surface well. Get all the original glue off. Third, lay down the bead of glue and immediately smear it around with your finger so the thickness is consistent. Then let it tack up for about 10 minutes. And once the fabric was applied, I let it sit overnight before cutting. The glue is a pain to work with. It's stringy, gets all over the place, is hard to clean off. It's not tacky and then all of sudden, it is. It's really unforgiving so be prepared for this. On the back, it's going to bleed through the fabric. It's unavoidable. And lastly, don't cut too close to the edge... leave some extra fabric. It you try to be a perfectionist, you're going to end of with a mess and perhaps a ruined frame. Lay down the fabric deliberately just like he does in the video because once it touches the glue, you can't pull it up and reposition it. In their videos, they use staples on the corners. Trying to stay as close to original, I didn't. It seems to be holding and I've got it stretched very tight. Most importantly, you need to use their brand of fabric for their process. Forget the other stuff sold on Amazon.

Excellent pro-grade speaker cloth!
Used for making custom speaker grills for home theater speaker wall. Perfect texture: “weave pattern” is hard to discern which makes it so much easier to layout and not see if cloth is slightly angled when stretched over speaker grill, high quality cloth, stretches easily, acoustically transparent, very black color. Also, transparent for IR remotes, at least based on initial testing my amp picks up signal behind it. Highly recommended!!

Awesome Grill cloth
Used to refurb Yamaha bookshelf speakers that were in bad shape. I just used Aleene's quick drying fabric fusion to glue the fabric onto the frames. The material stretches nicely. Overall good stuff.

Bought updated Style and Life to Old Speakers!
I needed to re-screen a pair of Altec Studio Monitors. As an update, one of the repair forums recommended this fabric. I ordered a couple of these to cover the area needed. The fabric is a knit product and somewhat thicker than the 46-year OEM material. It blocks out the visual elects on the monitor's front. The "blackness" of the material is super dark and brings a certain elegance to the new fronts. Overall, these are great products, and they should last for another 46 years.

Best speaker grill fabric available.
This product is well worth the extra cost if you want a successful restoration. It’s thick but not sound absorbing thick, which makes it easy to work with. The adhesive won’t soak through to your fingers as you work it into place. It’s strong and has plenty of stretch. I wouldn’t think twice about ordering this again for another speaker restoration.

good appearance and good acoustic performance
Looks nice, is altogether transparent to the sound, and they give you enough of it. Instead of just covering the grills on the front of my 84 vette, I covered the whole dashboard because it was chewed up and scarred. The results are pretty good. I don't know how long it will hold up the the florida sun without fading, but for now it looks real nice.

Stretchy high quality fabric gives no indication of the duct tape I used on the other side
I'm busy. The speaker is used as a stand for other items, not sound, but it looked beyond lousy. The 1960s fabric was disintegrating, with two holes in it. The backing frame was broken in half. I thought, what the heck, I'll give it a quick try, and used about twenty or so pieces of duct tape to pull and make the speaker look amazingly decent! I never thought it would work. I DO NOT RECOMMEND doing what I did, there are great instructions on how to do a perfect job. But, man, I was so relieved. The task was accomplished in a few minutes...and it worked!!! THE POINT BEING: GREAT QUALITY FABRIC. It would have turned out a hot mess if the fabric wasn't of such high quality.
