Pretty much works ok. Sides leak so 2 of the slots don't fill completly.

So there are a few things I like about the product... by far #1 is the ease of getting the ice balls out of the tray - i have individual Tovolo ice ball makers, while they are larger ice balls, they are difficult to get out of the container. This product, hands down, simple and easy to use. #2 that I like is having 6 ice balls with me - in my case the whole tray fits perfectly on the top shelf of my camper freezer - which is actually why I bought this, I was sick of pre-making ice balls two at a time, and putting in a zip lock back, then carting them...this product gave me exactly what I wanted.There is just one thing that I struggle with is having to use the little funnel to fill up the balls - I tried from the faucet with a little stream aimed at the hole. Ice balls the first time with the funnel turned out great, the next time with the sink (since i didn't know where the tiny funnel was...) not so great. I blame operator error - somewhere between the faucet and the ice trays - I am still getting that technique down.Nice product! Buy them!

Bought this to make ice for cocktails..duh! I haven't figured out the "exact" amount of water to use yet and have tried many times to fine-tune it. One side of the tray always seems to leak water in between the silicone and plastic base, leaving one or two of the ice balls to have a flat spot. The others tend to be pretty decent, but I always seem to have partial cracks around the ice balls that cause them to melt unevenly.Before I put them in a drink, I always let them sit out for a few minutes to temper them and prevent cracking, which seems to work just fine. But, as I pour the whiskey over the ice ball, you can see a line, usually around the center, that starts to melt away much faster than the rest of the surface. As I am finishing my drink, I tend to end up with a Star Wars Tie Fighter shaped ice cube...which sounds pretty cool, but unfortunately waters down my drink a bit more than desired. I've tried many different things to prevent this, but none have worked. If you want clear ice, or a perfectly symmetrical ice ball - this isnt the product for you. If you want a relatively inexpensive solution for an ice ball and you dont care if the ice is a bit cloudy or forms cracks during the freezing process, this works just fine.

I really like these ice trays. They make the perfect ice balls and each ice ball is bigger than the average ice cube.

The 'balls' are so easy to prepare. No mess, quickly fill the tray and simple to release from the silicone. I made a few batches to store in the freezer for easy access. Also great to chill large glasses or Yeti cup....the ice ball lasts a long time so no watered down drinks. The tray is small, so it does not take up room in the freezer. Highly recommend...great conversation piece too as friends love them.

These ice molds will make nice looking ice balls and what I like most about it Is I can make six at a time and have a couple on hand for making friends drinks. It does have a learning curve to it, it was a little difficult for me to get all the air bubbles out to make perfectly round spheres at first. You have to be patient when taking the ice out of the mold and let it sit at room temperature for five to ten minutes to aid in removal of the silicone. This isn't going to give you clear ice, but it does make for a more enjoyable experience and doesn't water down the drink near as fast.

Love the product well built but tends to leak out while trying to fill up

I tried to use this to make ice and the ice balls had cracks in them and were also really hard to get out of the mold. Using it to make jello was also not possible coz pulling the mold open broke the jello. Same with chocolate. Same with agar agar. Not a good product.
