Vellanki Foods Andhra Special Sweet Ariselu Ghee (500gms)

1. My first impression was the packaging. The sweets came in a bigger outer cardboard box and inside that was two sweet boxes wrapped in excellent condition in a plastic bag( so that the ghee doesn't leak. Inside the cardboard box too was a plastic wrap around the sweets made from ghee.2. 18 numbers of Adhirasam, about 6 cm in diameter and about .75 cm thickness is what you can expect for 500 gms.3. The sweet is made from jaggery,rice flour ,sesame seeds combination.4. The process to make this sweet is tedious as I have personally witnessed my grandmother making it. She used to soak the rice overnight, remove the water,grind it and boil it along with boiled and cleaned jaggery ,turn it into a hard tasty eatable gooey stuff which used to be infused with cardamom powder. This hard mixture would then be deep fried in ghee.5. It is 6 inches of pure deliciousness and healthy too with sesame seeds and jaggery being high in iron content, rice being gluten free and not as bad as wheat based sweets,ghee used as per my grandmother helps in not getting creaky joints or painful joints in old age ( and she lived healthy until the age of 80 with no arthritis or any other health problems) .6. Loved the sweet, reminisced my childhood because it tastes homemade. Worth buying. A must try if you like traditional dishes and are a food conossieur.

I would give a 5/5 for the Quality, Freshness, Price and Taste.Amazing. Better than home made sweets!!!!!Kudos to the good work.Please do not change even a bit @ Vellanki Foods.If you maintain the same quality and quantity, am sure, buyers would multiply and would remain your customers forever.

I was actually searching "Anarse" which is similar recipe named in Marathi... I found this and ingredient are same so gave try but actually it's same and taste so yum....😊

These kajjayas are very oily. They lacked aroma and taste, besides being sugary sweet. Besides this, none of the other ingredients that add flavor was noticeable. Cardamom, sesame, poppy seeds were next to non-existent. The oil had also turned slightly old. As a result, this turned out to be a tasteless oily old muck.

I ordered this sweet for my father who hadn’t eaten it in quite a while. The moment he tasted this, he was so very nostalgic and said this flavor reminded what his mother (my grandmother) used to make.Worth every penny!

This is my experience with this brand ,Sweets very hard and we could not even chew it. We consumed only one as it was difficult for us eat as they are very hard. Taste is good it would be excellent if they were soft.
