It works fine on my late year 2024 Bronco Black Diamond with the Mid Pkg (auto dimming mirror). There's been some discussions that the power to the mirror turns off when the engine auto stops but it remained powered on in my vehicle. Maybe Ford made a change? I specifically purchased a Garmin x310 dash cam since it has a lithium battery to prevent this potential problem (turning off) but the camera only indicates loss of power when the ignition is turned off. However, the Garmin unit does indicate it isn't charging the battery when using the USB cable that came with this mirror tap. Probably have to get a "special" USB cable from Garmin costing extra.... :-(

Works as intended. Total length with the included USB cables is longer than I would like, but better than being too short. I wish there was not an LED in the USB port, may disassemble to remove

Installed for my Vantrue 4k camera in my 2024 F-150 Lightning. Works perfectly. Takes 30 seconds to install and gives plenty of USB power for a dash camera. USB-A plug so it works either way any cable you’ll have pretty much. Small enough you can hide it behind your rear view mirror.

Already the 3rd time I have bought this adapter for many of my vehicles and it works like a charm. Plug and play. I use it for an apple CarPlay / dashcam setup on my rear view mirror. I don’t have to worry about hard wiring or using an outlet for my dash cam. Turns on when car is on and turns off when car is off. I do wish for the 2012 edge for the black and white cables to be a bit longer but it still did the job. I like how it comes with a couple sided adhesive already applied.

Works like a charm. If your Mustang has 3 garage door opener buttons, this will work. Very easy to install

Very happy with this purchase. There's no reason to run cables if your rear-view mirror is compatible with the Dongar power adapter. The setup was quick, but most importantly clean.

Quality: Well builtFunctionality: True plug-and-play between rear-view mirror and dash cam. Dongar powers the dash cam on when the car starts and powers off when the ignition is turned off.Ease of use: Instructions are easy to follow. It requires that you unplug the factory connector from the rearview mirror and then plug the Dongar into the mirror. The dash cam is then plugged into a second connector on the Dongar. The factory connector can be difficult to remove.Longevity: Have not had the unit long enough to evaluate reliability. Will be interesting to see if the hot Florida summers will be a problem.Many dash cams require 5VDC, and in most cases, you can't power your dash cam with 12VDC. The Dongar has a 12-to-5VDC converter. The Dongar is the easiest way to power your dash cam and prevent wires from hanging down to the console. I find that the fit is tight but does conceal when tucked behind the rearview mirror. Make certain that you order the correct Dongar. My 2020 F-150 has a 16-pin connector, and the dash cam has a micro USB input.
