Auto Fabric & Carpet Water Shield, 20 Ounces (Two, 10 Ounce Cans)

Seems to work to prevent stains and keep fabric office chairs cleaner.

This did the the job but smelled awful for almost a week. My 2021 Rav 4 was getting water spots - literally stains from a wet raincoat, not food stains. So I used a damp cloth to scrub out the water lines. I had to scrub the whole seat, otherwise I'd be creating new water stains. After the seats dried over night I sprayed them with the water proofer. The overspray didn't leave a residue on the non fabric parts of the interior, but I did wipe it immediately. I was initially worried because the seat bottoms looked so dark so I gave the seat backs a light treatment. I figured I'd just have to do the head rests to match. But it dried and matched up, so when it dried I did a second treatment on the seat bottoms. I haven't had any issue with water marks on the seats at all. One can was enough for the whole interior. It has a terrible chemical smell that lingers. My car is garaged so I left the windows open for a few nights but still took a good week to go away.

Product sprays in easily and did not discolor the fabric. Strong odor that does last for a few days and I can only assume it is protecting the fabric since I have not spilled anything on it. Bought Scotchguard because it has brand recognition. Giving 4 stars instead of five because I don’t really know if it is effective and lasts over time. Directions do say to re spray after six months to a year.

Great product! But needed both cans to do one small car!

I use this product for the floor mats in my car which still gets dirty. But it does make the mats easier to clean.

The product itself is good, but the sprayer on one of them dripped about as much as it sprayed. I have not tried the second spray can yet. I had to really watch where it was dripping as I was spraying and plan for that. Outside of that, it seems to be protecting our seats and floor well on our new car. The smell is also nice.

Smelly to spray. Use a mask and make sure all the vehicle doors are open to the breeze for good ventilation. The smell lingers for 2-3 days after application. Two cans is just enough to cover two front seats and a rear bench seat. You'll likely need more product if you are also doing the carpets or a third row seat in a larger SUV. (Two light coats of spray are better than one heavy coat.)
