Like all Minelab products it is built well and pereforms well.
The bright orange color helps when your working in tall grass. I found a small hole in the battery cover to attach a lanyard to. This is handy (not advertised), it would have been nice if a lanyard had been supplied with the Pin-pointer.

Great pinpointer, but odd timing on the power on cycle
This detector works very well, I used it in some beach and sand detecting and it performed very well. One oddity about it, when you power it on, the time it takes to do it's power on cycle (beeps when you hit the power button, then you have to wait for a confirmation beep before its ready) is inconsistent. I always hold it pointy end in the air away from my body and any metal, hit the power button, then wait for the confirmation beep. It takes anywhere from a few milliseconds to a full 5 seconds for the "ready" beep. Not a show stopper and a small thing when compared to its functionality and dependability.

Buy a better version
I have it 3 stars as this thing is tempromental about powering it on and off as it sometimes doesn't seem to work.

IM NOT 100% SATISFIED WITH PIN POINTER BUT I BOUGHT USED I WAS SHORT ON FUNDS MY OPINION IS BUY NEW! 🤷♂️THE MINELAB 20 PIN POINTER HAS A SHORT🤦♂️ IT WANT COME ON EVERY TIME YOU PRESS ON BUTTON AND I HAVE TO TAP IT ON MY KNEE TO MAKE IT COME ON BESIDES THAT IT DOES A GREAT JOB LOCATING TARGET!
