UPDATED REVIEW - A good filter pitcher to a great filter pitcher
UPDATE TO WHAT I WROTE BELOW - 09/25/2023 - I received a replacement pitcher a few weeks ago and have been using it. I would like to say WOW what a difference! Looks like the original pitcher I purchased did have a defect in the pouring spout which was causing the dribbling/leaking. My new pitcher works great! The other thing I had a concern with handling/holding the pitcher. I've figured out another way to hold the pitcher that has made it much easier for me. .....thus my update from a 3 star to a 5 star review.August 18, 2023I've used the pitcher for 8 months now and I am happy with my purchase for the most part. The water has a great flavor and the pitcher filters the water quickly - two huge positives in my book. I can tell that the chlorine is definitely filtered, but would like to know how much fluoride is filtered. Some of the information indicates that fluoride is filtered (which is the main reason why I purchased it) but there are no details on how much. There are two things about the pitcher I don't care for unfortunately. One - it can be awkward and heavy when the pitcher is full and I believe it's due to the style of the handle. I am by no means a weak person and I have problems. Two - when pouring it is very easy for the pitcher to dribble water from the spout. I've thought that maybe I was pouring too fast, but even pouring slowly it drips. I've tried reseating the lid and looking for cracks in the pitcher but everything looks fine.Overall I believe it was a decent purchase, but I'm not sure if I will be purchasing more replacement filters when mine run out. I may find something else and recycle this one.

Water taste great
This is the best water filter system that I’ve bought way better than Brea and even the zero water filter picture

Decent pitcher with poor ergonomics
While this pitcher seems solidly built, the handle has an uncomfortable shape and feels awkward when pouring water. I also find it difficult to refill without splashing water due to the shape, size, and responsiveness of the one way fill-flap. Finally, the indicator light uses a non-replaceable battery and doesn't seem like an accurate way to measure water usage. Mostly it will go off after 90 days no matter how much, or how little water is actually filtered.I have no way of conducting tests regarding the effectiveness of the filter, but the water tastes better and there are some studies out there that indicate it functions as advertised.

Excellent product and customer service
We've had this pitcher for over two years and love it. As advertised, the filter shape makes refills fast and the filtered water tastes like water should taste. The pitcher looks nice too.We did recently have an issue with the module that signals a filter change is required - an electronics issue. Customer service promptly solved the problem beyond a 5 star rating.Purchase this product with confidence!

Good water, just be careful with the lid
A few months ago our local water company informed us that they were temporarily switching from chloramine to free chlorine as a disinfectant. I hadn't had significant taste issues with the tap water in my neighborhood until the switchover, but suddenly it was like pool water. Not great.I've used the Waterdrop Plus filters for the fridge for a while so when I saw that they also made a pitcher filter system I picked this up to have a room-temperature water jug on hand. (I like my fridge water dispenser, but it's slow.) Even after the water company switched back I've continued to use mine for various things and have even purchased another pitcher to use in my workplace as a backup for when the water dispenser is out of order (the unfiltered water there is *truly* dire, undrinkable). The biggest negative of this pitcher for me is that you have to be careful when there's water in the top reservoir. You can pour it while it's filtering, but if you're not careful the weight of the water will pop the entire lid right off--and probably dump a bunch of unfiltered water all over whatever you were trying to pour into. If you have a weak grip and need both hands to hold and tilt the pitcher, I would avoid using it with water in the top reservoir at all.I don't have a TDS meter and I'm not a water quality expert so I'm not going to rattle on about the virtues of this filter over others. It makes questionably-tasting or outright bad-tasting water palatable, that's enough for me. I might try one of the alkaline filters sometime, just to see if it makes a difference.

Replacement part - amazing Customer Service!
This is an update regarding my water drop pitcher. Recently the indicator light on the lid stopped working which I wasn't surprised about since I bought this pitcher (which I love) so long ago. I contacted water drop to see if I could buy a battery to replace the one in the lid. Olivia from water dropped help me, and to my great surprise an entire lid was shipped to me at no cost to replace the indicator light. I think this customer service is outstanding. So many other companies would charge for the battery and or the lid and this was just amazing to me. So thank you, Olivia, and the Waterdrop company for your stellar customer service help!
