Pokemon TCG: Pokemon Battle Academy, Multicolor

The Pokémon TCG and I go way back. I started playing before Pokémon Gold and Silver were released for the Gameboy Color. Many of those who are my age have kids that are Pokémon fans, and what better way to bond with your child or young relative than over a game of cards? This is a real bargain. There are three 60 card decks in the box. Two of them are numbered for guided games with manuals so new players can understand the basics. They can later be shuffled and used for regular gameplay once everyone understands. Instead of coming with a flimsy paper mat like what is packaged in a standard deck box, it comes with a sturdy, folding board to play on. The coin also isn't standard. It's about two inches across. Cardboard damage counters and GX markers are included, but if you need burn or poison counters, this box does NOT have them.Long story short? This is a great way to introduce new players to the Pokémon TCG. I do not recommend this to collectors, because a deck you are meant to play with WILL have duplicates.

This product is amazing for children and adults alike and this is totally worth the money. It includes three decks and 3 GX cards. It also teaches you how to play the Pokémon tcg. But here is the thing.I would only recommend for starters and old fans of Pokémon. This is not for collectors who are looking for rares, as it only comes with three common gx’s and not legendaries. I also included the list of the cards inside if you want to see. Amazing product, but not for collectors.

My 7 year-old daughter has been super curious about Pokémon, but we were having trouble just learning how to play. This is a very clear, well thought out introduction. It starts with each player having a (subtly) numbered deck of cards (1-60). The accompanying instruction booklet, specific to each player, takes both players step-by-step through set up, and through all the main features of gameplay. Once you get the hang of it, there are further instructions and a third more advanced deck to upgrade the experience. This was quite literally exactly what we had both imagined, and were looking for…but better!

This game is fun and adorable. It comes with three 60 card decks - a Pikachu, a Charizard, and a Mewtwo. Each comes with a GX card: Raichu, Charizard, and Mewtwo. There is also a code for TCG online that gives you all 3 of the full decks in the online game. There are no burn or poison markers included, but there is a sturdy game board and a nice, larger than standard coin. Instructions walk you step-by-step through an example game if you’re not sure how to play.

I have not opened it yet but can see that the back side of the box haw been damaged prior to me receiving my order. I'm sure the game will be fun to play as I have played a different version of the Battle Academy set but it seems like this seller did not maintain the product properly prior to shipping.

This product is AMAZING. We were afraid it was going to be really complicated and hard to learn but the guidebook walks you through it step by step and makes it so simple to follow and understand! Our 6 year old LOVES this game and it’s fun and easy for the whole family to play. Would recommend this every single time!

My son wanted to play pokemon, I've never played and had no idea where to start. I checked various places for cheap "common" cards to start out with and found out cards are overpriced. My younger brother who once played suggested starting with this. Well worth the minimal investment, everything you need to play with pre-made decks and instructions. The decks are easy to use and learn with, worth it for new players and younger kids!

!!!!!!PLEASE BEWARE!!!!!This was a gift for my son. After opening the box my son said there were no Pokémon in the decks. As I started to go through them, we realized literally all of the actual Pokémon we’re missing. The only cards in the decks were the energy cards, the trainer cards, and the item cards, not a single Pokémon. The instruction sheet has an itemized list of each card that should be included in the deck. You could see exactly what cards were missing. And it was out of all three decks included in this game please ,buy with caution, the outer packaging was slightly scuffed up, and the deck boxes looked like they had obviously been opened and gone through. I was able to get my money back, but I’m still leaving one star because who knows if this will happen again!
