LOVE! Clay fine silty and like cement to dig. If that sounds like your dirt look no further you have found your new garden shovel. I also bought the hand rake. These are amazing quality. They are heavy duty and will not have snapped handles like that pile of snapped handled ones that are currently piled up in your shed like mine. This is a medieval weapon of destruction that will have you planting in that cement like dirt in no time there are no limitations to the planting accomplishments with these! Buy them and never buy another cheap set again, this is your answer!

This is a wonderful tool. It is sturdy, heavy, and sharp. It should last a long time. However, I have a bone to pick with whoever packaged it for mailing--most likely in an Amazon warehouse. Inside of the Amazon box, along with other items in the same shipment, the tool was on a plastic bag that was open on one side. I could not see that one end of the bag was open, picked it up from the wrong end. The heavy sharp tool slid out of the bag and fell on my bare foot. Owww!!!! They should have at least stapled or taped the bag.

Awesome tool!! I had some hard ground to dig in order to get a plant in the ground. This tool broke the ground up so I could shovel it out. I have not used the measurement part of it, but I know that will come in handy someday. The way the sharp edges cut through the ground made it so much easier for my arthritic hands.

I liked this tool. It's design is strong, effective and useful. It seems well made and the handle is grippy. It could be a little lighter, but then it might not be as strong. So it might be optimal the way it is. It is handy for planting things, removing weeds by their roots, small trenching in hard soil, and generally many of the tasks of a garden trowel but with a more compact design that gives you a bit more leverage and a bit less coverage. Overall this is a nice addition to my gardening tools. I recommend it.
